After more than five years, two Aam Aadmi Party’s midnight hawala money funders arrested. Why the delay?

It is a shameful affair because of the delay as all details of the midnight hawala transaction came out more than five years ago, it was pointing to Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia

After more than five years (read once again – after more than Five Years) Delhi Police arrested two persons in connection with the controversial midnight hawala transaction of Rs. 2 crores to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The arrested persons are shell companies’ owner Mukesh Kumar and his Chartered Accountant Sudhanshu Bansal[1]. The investigation, in this case, is a shameful affair because of the delay when all details of money transaction came out more than five years ago and it was pointing to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia. Why did it take so long for the Central agencies?

What is this AAP’s Rs. 2 Crores midnight hawala case?

The AAP, during the April 2014 Lok Sabha elections got Rs.50 lakhs each from four shell companies at midnight through online transfer. This got exposed by AAP rebels during the January 2015 Delhi Assembly Elections. Within a week, the media reported that all these four shell companies owned by a Group called SKS Associates, facing tax default (VAT Tax of Delhi Govt).[2]

In politics, such give and take deals are found between rival political parties. There is no other justification for this delay of more than five years.

Citing the tax default and collecting money from the said tax defaulter, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy in 2016 and 2017 filed Sanction for Prosecution against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who was also the Finance Minister of Delhi State to the Lt. Governor of Delhi Najeeb Jung and later to Anil Baijal. Though Najeeb Jung did not act, the next Lt. Governor Baijal asked agencies to probe into the matter[3].

However, Lt. Governor did not give sanction for prosecution to Subramanian Swamy to prosecute Kejriwal and Sisodia. Why this was not given in such an open and shut case by the BJP-led Government in Centre? Is another question to be answered. By late 2017, AAP rebel Kapil Mishra also exposed more details about the AAP’s hawala money trails and illegal fund provider Mukesh Kumar. Reacting to Delhi’s Police arrest today (August 21, 2020) Kapil Mishra tweeted:

It is an intriguing question as to, why the central agencies delayed more than five years in such an open and shut hawala money trail? The only answer is: In politics, such give and take deals are found between rival political parties. There is no other justification for this delay of more than five years. Media also kept quiet as AAP ruled Delhi Government was pumping advertisements.

  1. Don’t underestimate the games Mr Kejrival plays to fool the people dear readers. He ditched Anna Hazare and formed his own party. Made midnight deals with Churches and Mosques and organized fake attacks on them and made them march in streets raisng slogans against BJP. He funded and supported Shaheen Bagh riots and now he is protecting the chief organizer who was throwing petrol bombs from his roof tops by not permitting the CBI to prosecute him as an anti national. Kejrival has made internal deals with Congress and communist and Muslim league. He wants to demonize our mother land in the eyes of the world.

  2. Major part of the illicit transactions for AAP happen through the health min. It is well known that a lot of money comes from private healthcare institutions and some corrupt officials of the state DGHS act as conduits.

  3. Affable Arun J. Along with Modi’s “A Team” had to repay Adonis and Ambanis for getting them to their High Chairs in the NCR. Modi getting Jet-set criss-crossing across India for his high voltage campaign was made possible by the Able and ever Available Aces. Is there not repaying to do? Yes, it has to be followed and thus, nothing qualitatively different from the Congress-UPA Camp. Hand in glove the mess that continued in the appointments of shuffling of Top level Bureaucrats in the FM, CBI, ED ensured P. Chidambaram could keep pulling strings sitting at his Karaikudi palace control Delhi, remain off the hook for ever, and even go about maiming, taunting-ridiculing the new ruling group. This is the State of Snail pace Selfish Sinking India. No drastic changes in addressing Corruption perpetrated from the higher echelons.

  4. Modi Ji, Your statement of NA KHAUNGA NA KHANE DUNGA appears to be a bluff. This particular corruption case your party raised before each election and conveniently forgot after the election was over. Your inaction and indifference to so many corruption cases are badly damaging your reputation. Be careful and perform what you promised or else…….. I don’t know what.
It is a good suggestion by Shri Shrinivas Chakravarthy that all donations to the political parties should be banned and there should a common fund contributed by all citizens of India to meet the election expenses.
Let Dr.Subramanian swami take the initiative and let us all support him.

  5. The novel idea presented by fellow reader Mr Kambhampati is ‘ray of hope in utter darkness’
If indeed funds are needed to push through this proposal, it shall be an honor to support this cause.

  6. Adi Shankaracharya reformed the vedic scholars of his time by showing advaitha. Dr. Subramanian Swamy alone can reform the present day politicians and politics, not only in India but world over.

  7. Clandestine and bulk funding of political parties should be banned. Re 1/- from every citizen per month can be collected totaling to approximately Rs 138 crore per month which can be disbursed to all political parties national & regional as per a formula. No party funding and no bulk contribution from a few individuals and then lobby for personal favors.

I urge Dr. Swamy through your channel to consider this as an earnest prayer and ponder and come up with a solution.
