Tata Trusts’ Managing Trustee and accused R Venkataramanan’s emails with other accused AirAsia executives expose the fact that he discussed with the then Finance Minister P Chidambaram, Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh and Commerce Minister Anand Sharma on how to handle Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy’s petition in Delhi High Court. The email was dated October 23, 2013, and the discussion with the Cabinet Ministers happened a week before the petition listed for hearing on October 30, 2013.
It is learned that the CBI and ED had seized thousands of such emails during the raid exposing the dubious deals by AirAsia and their partner Tata Groups’ top management.
These emails of Tata Venkat which amount to Contempt of Court and charges amounting to the leaking of Cabinet Minutes details by the three Ministers were first reported by Economic Times today[1].
“Met the Chairman of FIPB (P Chidambaram) today. He said they are going to strongly defend the policy in the courts next week and they have filed affidavits to that effect. The same was repeated by the Ministry of Commerce today. Met Mr. Ajit Singh a short while ago. He said approvals should come soon and that our planning should be on the basis of the 5/20 rule getting scrapped, said the email of Venkat to co-accused Bo Lingam and Mittu Chandilya.
Hours after Bo Lingam replied: “Excellent News Venkat. I can sleep now.” According to media reports Mittu Chandilya already confessed to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) that he had transferred around five million dollars to some persons suggested by Ajit Singh soon after the deal.

We have seen many cases published and the factvhurts but how many of such corrupt gets convicted finally. These cases will have convenient closures after 2019 general elections. As Mr.Swamy says they are bureaucrats and even Ministers in BJP who don’t want these cases to be pursued. Further it will take minimum 2 years to establish the money trail by that this case will be forgotten.

Main stream media is heavily biased in favour of the corrupt Congress party leaders in particular and they will give spin to all cases involving these corrupt leaders perhaps for favours received while they were in power.
