Hon.FM Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman,
Namaskaaram.
People really expected an exciting address by the Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi with a new economic policy to win over the present war against Coronavirus. Though I was in favour of ‘demonetization’, I do not know how much that was successful in terms of flushing out black money. Fearing the governmental punishment, I believe much ill-gotten cash money was thrown into gutters.
Today several illegal money launderers, black money hoarders are freely and happily loitering around criticizing the government for the sake of opposing. The legal system or Enforcement Directorate (ED) or Income Tax (IT) departments are unable to put pressure on them to part with their ill-gotten stocked cash idly sitting in their safety godowns.
Probably you in consultation with intellectual Economists, and like-minded opposition party leaders could envisage a new economic policy to flush out idly sitting black money into the public distribution channel. Very attractive incentives could be offered free of legal actions against such rich people. This is the right time the government could convince such hoarders of money to indulge in good charity work for the welfare of our suffering poor people and help the government to win the economic war due to the epidemics crisis.
Please think about this humble suggestion from an ordinary citizen of Bharat who loves and cares for the countrymen.
Sincerely yours,
Naatyaachaarya V.P.Dhananjayan (Padma Bhushan awardee)
