Arvind Kejriwal proves that he is an Urban Naxal

Arvind Kejriwal an Urban Naxal

Arvind Kejriwal was live today on Corona, and among his biggest achievements was boasting that he had forced private hospitals to reserve 80% beds for Corona patients in their ICUs.

Most will clap, without realizing that this grab of private property is actually a direct attack on the jobs of their children.

Because in a country where the government has powers to seize private businesses, very soon businesses die. And so die the modern industrial jobs.

The hospitals do not “eat” their ICU beds in the absence of government takeovers. They still use them for patients only. But for those who are ready to pay whatever they demand. How will the government allot the beds? Through connections and sifarish. The total corruption level of society will go up, the money will go to some Sarkari babu and his neta boss, instead of to the owner of the private hospital.

we do not realize that in an industrial society, how easy it is for the children of the successful to slip back into the mass of the unfortunate who could not manage a government/corporate job.

Once the government can get away with this grab of private property, it never stops at hospitals. Delhi government had earlier forced restaurants to allow their washrooms to be used by the non-customers also. Will you like to eat at a place where people are in queue to use the washrooms?

But when the hospital compounders and restaurant waiters will lose jobs, nobody will connect those job losses to Kejriwal’s actions. Kejriwal will make that sure by bribing media.

We have not been able to grow out of the pre-industrial rich-poor equation. Rich in those days were mostly those who lived off the land grabbed from the unorganized farmers. That image we still carry. And so we always clap when politicians go after the rich, something which they do almost of the time.

Modern businesses are not something seized from others. They are literally created out of thin air by the entrepreneurs. People out of their free will work in them because they offer a better life than otherwise was unavailable to them. If they are able to get away with offering very low wages, that is only because there are more job seekers than required. It is not the fault of the industrialist. He can only pay whatever he can earn by selling his products. His products will not fetch him more if there are not enough buyers. There are not enough buyers in a society if it is not industrialized.

So, to have higher salaries, we must have more industrialization. More industrialization happens only if the government is not able to grab private property.

We are not able to comprehend that industrialization is a wheel that grinds slowly over decades, even centuries. If we use the government’s power of violence to extract higher salaries than the level of industrialization can afford at that point in time, we are bleeding this very sensitive organism, the industrialization. And so it doesn’t grow or even dies.

3% of us get government jobs. Another 2% get jobs in the organized private sector. Do we ever stop to think about what will happen to our children if they do not manage to be among this 5%? We are condemning them to a dark life of misery, shortages, poverty, humiliation.

And we do not realize that in an industrial society, how easy it is for the children of the successful to slip back into the mass of the unfortunate who could not manage a government/corporate job. It is another matter that those children may never discover that they are where they are because their parents voted for the Leftist thugs.

The core competence of the Leftist thugs lies in making sure that nobody ever connects the consequences of their policies to the policies themselves.

  • Sir, TN is more industrialised than most other indian states. Business is good. But payment pattern is very poor compared to all other neibour states. This does not justify Kejriwal's moves but want to highlight over-burdened workers if TN are underpaid.

  • This article places Capitalism in high esteem. But it is not so. It may provide some low paying jobs, which mean only exploitation of the employees, but those jobs also they avoid to create by adopting automation in order to maximize profits. Hence, society has to be given the opportunity to evolve the most suitable policy of Development, be it industrialization or something else. The need of the hour is the decentralization of the powers, instead of thrusting from the top, be it left or right.
