Is Shivani Saxena being in jail a case of Bad Karma?
More details about Dubai based businesswoman Shivani Saxena (54). She was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on July 17 in connection with the kickback distribution in sensitive AgustaWestland (AW) VVIP Helicopter scam. In a bizarre incident, in December 2000, Shivani Saxena accused the then Miss World Priyanka Chopra’s father Ashok Chopra of molesting her 25 years ago. It was November 2000, and Priyanka Chopra was declared as Miss World 2000. Many saw this as a clear attempt to defame or extort money.
According to Shivani, she was only 12 years old when the incident happened. Many Army Doctors who worked in the camp came out accusing Shivani Saxena of blackmailing and extortion.
Days after Priyanka Chopra became Miss World, in December 2000, Savvy Magazine published an interview of Shivani Saxena, then at the age of 37. In the interview, Shivani accused Priyanka’s father Ashok Chopra, of molesting her 25 years ago in 1976. Shivani said that her father too was then an Army Doctor in Ferozepur and Priyanka’s father was also a doctor in the same camp. In the interview, Shivani’s husband Rajiv Saxena, who is also involved in the Chopper Scam kickbacks supported his wife’s claim.
According to Shivani, she was only 12 years old when the incident happened. Many Army Doctors who worked in the camp came out accusing Shivani Saxena of blackmailing and extortion.
Shivani filed a Rs.25 lakh compensation and damages lawsuit against Priyanka’s father. Ashok Chopra vehemently denied all the allegations and accused Shivani and husband of blackmailing and attempting to extort money after his daughter became Miss World 2000. He also filed a counter suit against Shivani for trying to damage the reputation of him and his daughter. The cases reached nowhere and the litigation shuttled from the local court in Bareilly to Allahabad High Court. Ashok Chopra passed away in June 2013.

The real truth only God knows. But filing a money suit for childhood molestation. Really not worth it. It puts the woman to shame.
I don't think anyone would consider going public with charges like rape unless they had ulterior motives like money or personal vendetta. Priyanka wasn't rich at the time so clearly money can be ruled out. Shivani on the other hand was and still is a successful business woman so clearly she wouldn't go out and accuse Ashok Chopra of something unless it was true.
Karma stings and we know Ashok Chopra met an untimely death. Outraging the modesty of a young girl did catch up with him finally.
