Below is the letter, that was written to External Affairs Minister Mrs. Sushma Swaraj requesting the government of India to intervene and stop the auction of furniture from Chandigarh

Foreigners left India in 1947 but loot continues
Ma’am,
Bharat is known SONE KI CHIDIA, even now, as Indian Heritage is being auctioned abroad by ‘FIRANGIS’. The only difference is that before independence, none could stop the loss of our heritage, as we were ruled by British but now we can stop the loss of our heritage, but unfortunately, it is not being done. Hope and pray that some process of the bringing back our smuggled heritage is started by the Government of India.
3 lots of Heritage Furniture, sourced from Chandigarh was auctioned in the USA without any fear or resistance from Indian Authorities. The Govt of India must convey its concerns to the auction, through Indian Embassy or other diplomatic channels. I request you to seek a stay on this auction or raise the issue because Article 51-A of the Constitution of India, has cast upon a duty on citizen to “(f) to value and preserve the rich heritage of our composite culture;” and (i) to safeguard public property and to abjure violence; as provided under article 51 of the Constitution of India.
Further, the Constitution of India has cast a duty upon the State/UT under the article for protection of such items under article 49. It shall be the obligation of the State to protect every monument or place or object of artistic or historic interest, 2[declared by or under law made by Parliament] to be of national importance, from spoliation, disfigurement, destruction, removal, disposal or export, as the case may be.
It is almost clear now that unless Government of India intervenes, the smuggling of our heritage will continue and the foreigners (as ever) will continue looting us, of what we have now. The list is given at the end of the article with pictures.
Hopefully, some action will be taken, to save our heritage and prestige.

What are the watchdog authorities doing. So the loot is now happening right under the nose of whose Govt. you know much better!!!!!! How the letter is written after the Auction.
Article does not say,the heritage property belonged to whom ? Some one must have exported the same ,did they take the permission from competent authority ?I have limited knowledge in this area , but idols and statues of 16th 17 th century are part of Indian archives,even if in the possession of individuals and its in govt records ,because ,earlier they were being sold/smuggled.Is there such law for furniture ?
can we bring back our sanskrit books from Germany ?I wonder.
