Congress is immortal!

Nobody can kill the Congress or its ideology. It will live forever as long as politicians are susceptible to corruption. We can say the party is immortal

Congress’s culture is nothing but nurturing small corrupt families who in turn control local fiefdoms reporting to the central family-controlled empire

Once a mahout and his elephant were travelling in a foreign land where people have never seen an elephant. The village treated the mahout and the tusker with lots of benevolence and within days the tusker was suffering from digestion. One idiotic boy went to the mahout and asked will the elephant be farting, and if it farts, how far the sound can be heard. Soon, this has become the topic of discussion at all pan shops and tea stalls. All the idling people surrounded the elephant and waited for the booming sound. As nothing happened, they dozed off. After a while, they were roused by the foul smell. On inquiry, the mahout replied the elephant did what they were waiting for, but with a whimper. So, the village never heard of the BOOM, but smelt the methane.

Well, that summarizes the build-up to the CWC meeting, the purported revolutionary letter signed by some wannabe martyrs, and another sacrifice by Sonia Gandhi, when she unwillingly accepted to continue to be the President of the party. The build-up was at least five months, so we are now told. There was a dissent letter, for sure, a product of a dinner, supposedly organized by the wizard of words. Of course, who released the contents to the media was not known but one can deduce the letter was doing rounds in the corridors of media, as there were in numerous articles on reviving the Congress, its need blah, blah, blah, as if the world is going to end if the party cease to exist.

It appears Rahul Gandhi called his own CWC members have colluded with BJP. If you disagree with Modi, you are anti-national. If you disagree with Rahul, you are BJP.

While the less intelligent directly wrote on Congress, the wise man, Shekhar Gupta was airing his opinions on Narendra Modi. One may say, he perhaps acknowledged the futility of these funny attempts to revive the Congress. He opined that only Narendra Modi can beat Narendra Modi. To prove this, he gave a glaring example that was trending in national media – that of a star’s death and his live-in girlfriend. Shekhar Gupta might be speaking the truth. Still, when it is the question of one’s survival, fight till the end is the only way. So, subtly, someone was acting to revive the opposition. Notwithstanding the invincibility of Modi, some people are fighting for their survival.

First, someone wrote in Shekhar Gupta’s very own portal that Congress needs to be revived. Then, there was Ramachandra Guha, who wanted Rahul Gandhi to ensure Congress will be led by someone who was not part of the family. He listed some reasons, all of which were correct. However, sticking to the mold of Indian historians who never bothered about the truth, he excluded the vital portion. Today, the long-forgotten Muslim messiah Salman Khurshid too wrote the need to stick to the Congress ideology to solve the crisis. Does it sound like a request to make an omelet without breaking the egg? Well, not exactly. Khurshid himself is confused. Don’t take him seriously. Even his party doesn’t. Want confirmation? Just listen to Owaisi, the original Persian who wanted to free Muslims from the clutches of Congress and other secular caste-based parties like SP, BSP, RJD, etc.

Reacting to the letter, it appears Rahul Gandhi called his own CWC members have colluded with BJP. If you disagree with Modi, you are anti-national. If you disagree with Rahul, you are BJP. By this logic, even Mamata and Owaisi will qualify as BJP persons. Kapil Sibal got peeved at being accused of colluding with BJP and washed party’s dirty linen in the Twitterghat without even waiting for Rahul’s telephone. Of course, like a good soldier of Congress, he retracted his tweet. After a marathon discussion in which the first family, supported by the coterie has declared there is no place for revolutionaries in the party. So, the meeting has ended with a sine die, though the party claims some timelines have been fixed to fix the party.

Well, this is not the first time revolutionaries were silenced. Even the great Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose had to resign after being democratically elected the President, just because the founder of Gandhi dynasty considered it as the party refusing him. There were Ambedkar, Rajaji, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee – all propounding various ideologies, who were forced to part ways with Congress. Even Periyar was with Congress. He left it to found his own Dravidian ideology. Then, there was Jinnah, who represented a mirror image of values that the other founder of the dynasty also cherished. The poet who penned “Sare Jahan Se Achcha, Hindostan Hamara” before the dynasty took control also left the party to advocate the bifurcation of the nation.

Rahul’s attempts were regularly stalled by the coterie or the gang of pretending sycophants on a continuous basis.

These 23 leaders, who wrote a dissenting letter seeking permanent and responsible leadership are nothing when compared to the stalwarts who were forced or eased out of Congress over the last century.

Even after independence, there were many who left Congress over a period of time. Sharad Pawar is one who left the party multiple times before finally deciding to run his own house. At present, there are Mamata Banerjee and Jaganmohan Reddy, who once belonged to Congress. Funnily, Guha wanted Congress to bring them back. Really? Guha proved why people take Indian historians so lightly; because they live in a fictitious world.

While Nehru survived his lifetime at the helm of both the party and the country, despite reducing the majority the downfall accelerated during the reign of Indira Gandhi. The tenure of Rajiv Gandhi was brought to an end by the revolution of V P Singh, a Congress member and who, ironically was a member of Rajiv’s cabinet. Perhaps he was the only successful revolutionary from the Congress and was instrumental in doing some real damage to the family, though the prime reason was Bofors Commissions.

Sonia Gandhi’s takeover of the party itself was a hostile one. One can only imagine the mental condition of Sitaram Kesari for getting kicked out of the position and office. Before that Sonia Gandhi avenged the man who really released the party from the clutches of the dynasty, P V Narasimha Rao. The way his mortal remains were treated would be remembered by all those who try to take on the family, for decades to come.

Well, not all in the family are so thorough. Rahul Gandhi, for all his mistakes and entertaining capability, was the only man from the family who tried to rescue the party.
Notwithstanding the accusations of historians and Congressmen, it was Rahul Gandhi, who really tried to infuse some amount of internal democracy into the party. His attempts were ridiculed by the coterie that is now revolting against him. These same guys ensured all his attempts would fail. They ensured he would become a laughing stock. To his credit, he tore the copies of a bill that was supposed to be passed by the parliament to save the skin of Lalu Prasad Yadav. Yes, it amounts to insulting the Parliament and the Prime Minister, but perhaps for proposing the bill, the insult was well deserved. Since then, Rahul’s attempts were regularly stalled by the coterie or the gang of pretending sycophants on a continuous basis. In fact, it was these self-serving sycophants, who are nothing but parasites feasting on the riches the party brings when it is in power, who are scared of the internal democracy.

Well, over time, Congress has evolved into something that now is. Perhaps the founder of the dynasty, Mahatma Gandhi himself has seen the writing on the wall and promptly called to shut down the party and transform it into an organization. Had Nehru heeded to Gandhi’s request, Congress, in all probability might have evolved into something like RSS. How can someone give up control of the establishment that is so easily controllable and provide a gateway to eternal power? While mass-based leaders were slowly kicked out of the party, sycophants tightened their control over the administration. Those who could never win even an Assembly election on their own, owing to their proximity to the High Command, through Rajya Sabha have risen to the rank of Cabinet ministers. For them, winning an election is something for people of lesser intelligence. That is the reason why someone like Kapil Sibal and Abhishek Manu Singhvi remain darlings of the family, while Pilots and Scindias are not.

If Mamata has to leave the party because the lethargic leaders did not allow her to function, Jaganmohan Reddy was forced to part ways for the way the party treated him. By denying the Chief Minister’s post after his father’s death, the dynast controlled party made a joke on itself. The party that was the fountainhead of corruption then put Jagan behind bars. The same party that rallies behind Rahul Gandhi, who lost a traditional Congress seat kicked Jagan out of the party, and what happened? Jagan split the party in the state and captured power by decimating Chandrababu Naidu. Could Congress divide Andhra Pradesh, had Rajasekhara Reddy been alive? No. When the local satrap is no more, some sycophant from the centre imposes a decision on the state thinking Congress will win in Telangana at least. Now, Congress is brain dead in both Telugu speaking states. That is the political acumen of those who wrote the revolutionary letter.

Since independence, Congress’s culture was nothing but nurturing small corrupt families who in turn control local fiefdoms reporting to the central family-controlled empire. The only time the family was not in control was during Rao’s tenure and just because of that tenure, India is now not a third world country. That was the reason why Rao was considered a pariah by the party. That he unnecessarily inspired the average Indian, who now started questioning the government.

Rahul Gandhi was correct. “Congress Ek Soch Hai.” It has grown into a self-sustaining monstrous ideology that feeds on voters.

All these decades, many Congressmen have left the party and joined others or set up their own shops. There is not a single party in India that doesn’t have former Congressmen in it. And, they bring the rottenness of Corruption, Nepotism, Hypocrisy, and all bad traits of Congress. Thus, Congress ideology, which Salman Khurshid was so fond of, lives everywhere.

So, all those who worry for the Congress may relax. The party is not at all in danger of going into oblivion. Don’t waste your time and energy writing these unnecessary letters and get admonished by Rahul. Rahul Gandhi was correct. “Congress Ek Soch Hai.” It has grown into a self-sustaining monstrous ideology that feeds on voters. Nobody can kill the Congress or its ideology. It will live forever as long as politicians are susceptible to corruption. Thus, it is immortal!

PS: Don’t think if Rahul Gandhi steps aside, the dynasty is over. Three years ago, Janardhan Poojary has declared Priyanka’s daughter will be Congress’ savior. Even her horoscope was checked by a great astrologer in Haridwar, who prophesied: “There would never be a leader like her in India in the future[1].” So, if you thought Manmohan was warming the seat for Rahul, consider this. Rahul might be warming the seat for the kid (Don’t want to bring the kid into the politics and so restricting myself from mentioning her name). Hail the Queen!

  1. Congress is immortal! Excellent write up Kannan Ji.
It is said Congress is the madness of many for the benefit of very few! Kamayegi Duniya Khayengay hum.

RS members from Congress-I never won an election. MMS was not elected as PM by voters but sent to RS from Assam and continued as our PM for a decade by telling lies and producing massive scams which BJP selectively pursued through Dr.Swamy!

Dynasty is still confident that they have solid nationwide party properties, international rogue networks, innumerable benami Bank accounts, inside Lutyens massive support base, international clandestine funding, Xtian, Moslem and misled dalits 19% vote banks plus commies back hand dealing and urban naxals like Kejriwal behind the scene dealings guarantees the dynasty well established party infra to see through their tough periods and hence the dynasty remains and Congress-I is immortal….. Lesser mortals are those who sacrificed for the party for many decades!! Maino’s continuity as interim President is to gain sympathy votes at a later date.

NEHRU GANDHI DYNASTY members are the lucky ones to escape prosecution (on bail now in a case) and life time jail term and tax payers have been over burdened in meeting expenses on them for 72 years now!!! It is not good to remain as spectators enjoying their dis-discomfiture and still continue to maintain their luxurious life styles by us. GOI should nationalize Dynasty’s illegal properties and lock them up!
