With former Union Minister Jitin Prasada leaving Congress and joining BJP on Wednesday, Congress camps are active again finding fault with the Gandhi family, especially Rahul Gandhi’s working style which forces many to leave the grand old party. At the end of all internal discussions, the angry Congress leaders put fault on Kanishka Singh, who was once operating Rahul Gandhi’s office and now running Priyanka Vadra’s office. They say this “gatekeeper arrogant” Kanishka is alienating Gandhi family members from many Congress leaders including Congress Working Committee (CWC) members. The general complaint is all having to wait months for getting an appointment from Rahul and Priyanka.
During the UPA-1 regime, Kanishka was in Sonia Gandhi’s office and even powerful Ministers have to wait for weeks to get an appointment. Leaders accuse those days Ahmed Patel was supporting Kanishka in fixing his opponents and later Sonia kicked Kanishka out from her office and then Kanishka landed in Rahul and then now parked in Priyanka’s office. Kanishka Singh’s father SK Singh was the Gandhi family’s trusted man from Indira Gandhi days and was a former Diplomat and was Governor of Rajasthan. In early 2000, Kanishka was entertained by Sonia Gandhi too due to his tech-savvy nature. “Where ever he is, his job is to block the party leaders from meeting Gandhi family members.”

Congress leaders accuse Kanishka Singh is basically late Ahmed Patel’s man and also in the league of Rajeev Shukla and P Chidambaram. They accuse these three Congress leaders use Kanishka to fix their rivals in the party. “Ahmed Patel and Kanishka were sidelined by Rahul Gandhi, both ganged up to teach him a lesson. Kanishka was given space at Priyanka’s office where he intelligently got Priyanka’s secretary Preeti Sahai kicked out by ganging up with Dheeraj Srivastava. Then he got Dheeraj Srivasta kicked out by ganging up with Sandeep Singh and now it is the turn of Sandeep Singh to be shown the door after UP elections in March 2022,” said a CWC Member to PGurus.
“Kanishka Singh was actively in touch with AP (Ahmed Patel) and 23 rebels and wanted them to run down Rahul Ji so that level of Priyanka Gandhi rises and she becomes an acceptable face, he had almost succeeded but nature has his ways and Ahmed Patel passed away and all plans went awry. The caucus had nearly succeeded in dethroning Rahul Gandhi and placing PG (Priyanka Gandhi) much against the wishes of ailing Sonia Gandhi who could smell that something is fishy and kept on holding the Cong president post. They were waiting for SG (Sonia Gandhi) to succumb to her illness and then knowing that it will be easy to dethrone Rahul but nature instead of SG (Sonia Gandhi) took away AP (Ahmed Patel),” said the angry senior leader of Congress, who is in CWC for more than two decades.
Many Congress leaders accuse Kanishka of not giving appointments to Amethi based Congress leaders to Rahul Gandhi which ultimately resulted in the shameful loss of Rahul in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. “Kanishka started running down people from Amethi and Rae Bareli and demoralising them. During elections, Kanishka reached there and removed all trusted aides of RG (Rahul Gandhi) like Chandrakant, loyalists like KL Sharma, and Dheeraj Srivastava. These people were reduced to zero and MLC Deepak Singh was propped up to run down other party workers. No share of power was given to Matoo and District President of Congress Amethi was removed during elections a thing never heard off !! And all tactics of Kanishka paid and RG lost elections and his moral authority and control over Congress got finished,” accused the CWC Member who also added that this lead to frustration of Rahul Gandhi by resigning from Congress President’s post.
Many Congress leaders accuse that with help of Priyanka Vadra, Kanishka tried to land the post of Congress Treasurer after the death of Ahmed Patel. “But Sonia Gandhi vetoed,” they add. Kanishka and Robert Vadra are having many business links. Kanishka’s family is running Delhi’s old Gandhi family linked company MGF, which was also involved in CWG Scam and AgustaWestland related issues. MGF is currently managed by his uncle and son Shravan Gupta whose names were embroiled in association with Agusta main accused Guido Haschke.
