You are taking rational approach without verifying the antecedents/mind-set of the other person. Imagine ; if in your rational approach-exposures in the following sequence, the adversaries are taking note/notices of your soft belly, what could be consequences in sometime gives me shivers ?
Mr Iyer is touched by this Bill, because there are 150-200 Congressmen/women in favor of this Bill.

If Islam is defined, described (by author) as a collection of habits ; Islamophobia is an Oxymoron.
If Islam is a political ideology (by author), one is less likely to see it as a Oxymoron.
Of course 100, 200 plus Democratic Party Congressmen/women are free to give their accord to this Oxymoron without any serious discussion.
