There is a story of Vivekananda where after returning from a temple in Varanasi a group of monkeys started chasing him. Swamiji started running and the more he ran, the more aggressive the monkeys got. A bystander who saw this drama shouted, ‘Stop running, face the brutes’. Swamiji turned around and faced the monkeys and the monkeys got confused and ran away. The terror-stricken Swamiji in the story is the situation of BJP today when it comes to handling the discrimination of Hindus.  BJP bought into the aggressive agenda of foreign NGOs and institutions which want to divide and convert India, as a deer stuck in a night headlight. They are too afraid to address some of the most difficult problems Hindus are facing in form of discrimination by the state starting from India’s independence, particularly in education, benefits and control of their religious institutions. This is unwittingly encouraging conversions and division of India and increase the number of voters who would perhaps rarely vote for BJP. Worse, BJP seems to be eager to show they are minority friendly while turning blind eye to those who overwhelmingly voted for them.

What is frightening is that even today millions of dollars being poured into India for conversions, just one West Godavari district in Andhra has 11,000 pastors

The NRC

Take the Citizenship bill. The brutality faced by Hindus and other non-Muslim minorities in Bangladesh and Pakistan is mind-boggling. The objections of AGP to citizenship bill and any other groups can be addressed by negotiations (for e.,g  move from Assam and settle in other states in return for citizenship) but that requires a strong will to pass it before elections. It is being said most of the illegal Bangladeshi Muslims (who will mostly vote for opposition) were able to get through the NRC through fake documents with active support of Islamic organizations and are now encouraging Bangladeshi Hindus to convert so that they can also get the same kind of support.  Whether how much of this is true or not, how much difference the voters from Citizenship bill will make for BJP  in 2019 in several states?

Takeover of Hindu temples

Then take, Hindu Temples take over by State Governments. Which country and which majority face this kind of discrimination where the funds contributed by the devotees are being plundered by the state while at the same time literally billions of funds are poured (in spite of action of NGOs) for converting and dividing India. If Hindus can manage the world’s most premier institutions, manage massive religious institutions including many schools, can they not manage their temple funds for the welfare of those who contributed to it?  Why is Rama Krishna Mission or Lingayats want to be categorized as non-Hindus?  What is frightening is that even today millions of dollars being poured into India for conversions, just one West Godavari district in Andhra has 11,000 pastors and there is hardly any village, even the remotest village, in Andhra which does not have a church.  This is even if it does not have a single convert in that village because they are planning for a Christian Andhra (like Christian North East states) in just a few decades!!!

Right to Education – Why has it not been abolished?

Take the implementation of RTE (Right to Education) which is described by many as one of the worst things perpetrated against the Hindu community. Hundreds and thousands of schools owned by Hindus are being closed and have given way to minority-owned schools. Not even the Government schools were subject to these kinds of rules. Most of the students educated in Hindu owned institutions are more prone to be nationalistic in outlook and future voters of BJP and they are the ones closed by unfair and discriminatory rules.

Modi ji is working hard to ‘Make in India’, what is best ‘Make in India’ than India’s heritage and no automation can replace it!!!

Take Article 370 and uniform civil code. It is a shame even at this day and age we do not have the guts to address polygamy and the lack of alimony support for divorced Muslim women. Much of India is paying so much price in terms of massive benefits to Kashmir and what is India getting in return. No matter how you slice and dice it, nowhere and no time in the history of the Islam, has any other society or any other religious group were given equal rights. Let us face that fact, by discriminating Hindus and unwittingly abetting conversions BJP is running a risk of suicide, maybe a long-term suicide. When Rahul Gandhi is saying he will become Prime Minister, in 2024, this is exactly he is counting on,  the increase the number of Christian and Muslim converts and all they have to do is woo them aggressively through their religious institutions. Manmohan Singh openly declared that ‘minorities have the first right to resources of India’, imagine what Congress will say and do after the next few years when they have the magic 30+ percentage of captive voters.

Take the case of tourism.  Just recently an Islamic Mosque in Gujarat is declared as Unesco Heritage site but we are not able to work for getting Rama Sethu to be declared a Unesco Heritage site. All around the world, from Peru to Greece, Turkey, the tourism is geared to an ancient heritage, literally providing millions of jobs, but India which the world still holds high about its heritage could not tap into it. When I looked closely into it, I was surprised in many of these countries tourism is the second highest revenue/job generating. From the discovery of Dwarka in the ocean, Ajanta/Ellora and the great temples of India with its yogic tradition, India has literally enormous potential to generate jobs through tourism which cannot be taken away.

Country after country, are meticulously rebuilding their ancient ruins and showcasing their heritage. While Peru proudly shows of Mayan traditions, Islamic Turkey is showing off  Roman ruins and ancient Christian caves and Jordan is showing off their ‘pagan’ towns (Pedra) where Sanskrit sounding names of Gods were once worshipped. A small country like Cambodia is generating millions of dollars of tourism from single Angkor Watt temple.  Bali in Indonesia is the most visited tourist place in the world. When I recently travelled to Europe, I saw posters and billboards advertising Ayurveda in Sri Lanka and not a single one in India!!!

Why is tourism not up?

A recent news media article quoted Master Card president Ajay Banga saying that the number of tourists in the whole of India per year is just about the number of tourists to New York City? What a shame, we cannot build and showcase our heritage. We are too timid and lack courage even if such development will generate jobs for all Indians no matter what religion they belong to. India has a lot of work to carefully develop tourism with a private-public partnership and it should not be entirely left to bureaucrats. Modi ji is working hard to ‘Make in India’, what is best ‘Make in India’ than India’s heritage and no automation can replace it!!!

Would Obama give a presentation on Black Lives Matter?

When I heard that the Indian Government gave a presentation to Obama how the Indian Government is assisting minorities through various schemes, I wondered if Obama would have given a presentation to India on how the US Government helping its minorities who face so much discrimination even today after nearly two centuries of brutal slavery.  In spite of such persecution and discrimination, American removed much of the minority programs quoting it is causing reverse discrimination of poor whites. Maybe what we need to bring to light is the shameful fact of how the majority, particularly the poor among a majority in India are badly discriminated by the Indian state.

Today BJP has a much comfortable position in Rajya Sabha and has the majority in combined houses. Even if they want to pass a bill in combined houses they need six months period after tabling the bills in both houses before they introduce those bills in combined houses. The time is really running out to pass some badly needed bills before the next elections. What is the guarantee if BJP will have such majority in the next elections?  Will Modi ji and BJP wake up and gather the courage to address this before we lose such an opportunity?

While most Hindus support Modi ji’s efforts to lift all Indians no matter who they are, the fact of the matter is an overwhelming majority of their voters are Hindus and here is where Modi ji can learn a real lesson from Trump. 1. In the name of constitution, Will SC allow Trupti Desai enter the portals of SC in a Bikini. If Not, why Not?.SC should understand that people have held Temples in High Esteem and reverence for thousands of Years than 50 years of Kichdi Constitution. India has more than 5000 years of history. Our copymasters of constitution have copied from other countries when they were barbarians and saying Sun revolves round the earth.
Constitution should be modified after removing many blunders, mistakes in it.

  2. No, it doesn’t. It even doesn’t have the courage of conviction to reprint the reports of the Shah Commission and Maruti Commission (1980)–both proscribed by Indira Gandhi after her massive return to power in 1981–exposing the filth that the Family rule represented.

  3. You were proved right. What you have predicted! is what the whole world witnessed for Sabarimala, with millions of devotees protesting against the entry of insane creatures mistaking the temple to be a place of picnic ably supported by main stream news media and journalists who think a temple to be a place of gossip, while devaswom board thinks it is a place for equality! and polity! All the four pillars of democracy! failed the millions of devotees and their faith on the deity, leave alone the understanding of the deity and the diety’s rights! Yes that is too much to ask for! from the Learned Judges! for they have to unlearn the poison of colonial definitions of Hinduism, reject that we became a single county only after the freedom!, accept that the Indic culture ( oh! no cannot call it as Bharathiya Samskriti/culture will be prosecuted if i say so will have to change it to Indic or some such colonial nonsense ). Constitution as it stands is loaded against the majority faith and Supreme court has become Supreme Minority court for its only for the Mighty and Weathy to get justice as they, four of them, consciously ignored the true representatives of the millions of devotees, who came in as interveners. After hearing the detailed arguments of Shri Parasaran, the constitutional expert on the constitution and the way to interpret it when comes to the majority faith and that of Shri Sai Deepak on the rights of the deity as our temples have their existence on account of the owner the place namely the deity, the moorthy who is a living head of the whole community, king, father, mother, child, spouse, and what not! at times even the worst enemy!(Naradha bakthi sutra says easiest way to reach the lord is by hating him the most!)

  4. I do not understand this belief that Hindu’s are being discriminated against. If anything it is the religious minorities that are being discriminated against. The only schools being closed are the ones without the certificate needed to operate. So what if there are thousands of priests for Christian churches. Hinduism believes in letting others believe their religion. Not all people in India are Hindus and that is a good thing. Other view points provide a better society!

    • It is not a belief. It is the fact. Money and privileges flow towards others, from Hindus. Temples, education institutions, land, what have you.

  5. We are lacking one common language for the masses to understand this kind of great topic. When we assume we are a literate nation and most of our readers can read and write English, and keep producing material in a foreign language, we are missing out most of our patriotic Hindu brothers and sisters.

I will share this article but I am afraid I am going to put out a great content in front of foreigners.

We have been on wrong track for a very long long time and the only thing can fix it is Civil unrest. I think no government is going to help Hindus in Bharat. We have to do our own work. We teach our kids that learning English is very important, becoming an engineer or doctor is very important but we seem to care less about becoming a Hindu. When we will start stressing on becoming a Hindu, start volunteering to teach Hinduism on our own or at Mandirs or Dharmshalas and then we may be able to start undoing what foreigners have done to Bharat Mata.

  6. You really deserve accolades for your eye opening piece. Every Indian should be proud of you sir. Everybody including the Indian government should take advantage of your insights and be aware of the designs of Muslims and Christians to convert India.

  7. From day 1, BJP set up an anti Hindu agenda. They opted for Development with money borrowed from foreign entities and they gave permissions to foreigners to conduct businesses where money is collected up front for future services. Enough said.

The other parties might be worse, but BJP too doesn’t seem to be good enough to protect the interests of common people and their Dharma.

    The situation is hopeless.

  8. This I have been telling a lot of times.
Kindly don’t ignore the Hindus and their sentiments who are your core vote base.
How much ever you try to please other religious communities they will not vote for you.
If they are educated maybe yes but not otherwise.
Still Hindus are treated as minorities.
Christian groups have lots of lands and run them as educational institutions and from the aids they get from government n students who study there plus a lot of funds they acquire more and more lands in remote areas and first build a church there. The rest continues.
Then they take up media get likes of STAR TV’s (is still Vijay Mallya the owner??) And convert most of the anchors n media persons… Slowly spreads into big screen media…
To tell you the truth, these christian groups are intelligent in forming their own stories on Indian history..with Christian thoughts..and convert innocents.
Atleast we expect BJP to relieve all temples from the state government by a law so that we don’t lose our heritage and history.
Academicians, police, courts, state officers are all part of these missionary groups and it’s very dangerous if bjp fails to curb this.
Nationalise all schools…if you can provide aids, so can you run them. Why do you want to have christians enjoy minority rights while most of them boast that they are the ones who educated India.
BJP really lacks courage but with the many number of government servants n law makers as recruited by Congress still in the government this also seems to be little risky.

Tourism… Ah yes… I have been writing about this every time I feel bad about this sector being neglected by that Christian Alphonse.
India’s strongest strength is it’s culture, history n rich heritage. We have so many many epic related places, even now with the same names and yet this industry is not getting revenues.
Srilanka a small country attracts many tourists.
Bali attracts many tourists…but we who have so many ancient monuments still existing and still in use don’t have many tourists…and failure to appoint an energetic person who has knowledge and respect for indian traditions n values is heart burning.
Buddhism one of the oldest religions , spread across many countries, has its root in India. This again is overlooked.
How many tourists we can have if only we could utilise it…
    Bad choice of ministry.

Hope all is rectified atleast during their next term.
