The message is clear; one need not hold any significant position in the cabinet to draw the crowds, rather one needs to be genuine in his efforts.

The book “Evolving with Subramanian Swamy a Roller Coaster Ride” kept me glued at one place as I unraveled the adventurous journey of Dr. Swamy and Dr. Roxna Swamy through the very picturesque description of the days of emergency making us live through the days with the close-knit family of Swamy.

The book is a riveting page-turner and sheds light on the dominance of a party over others existent erstwhile. The author gets back and forth so it’s like the reader is traveling through the memory lane with her. Reading the book gives us a different perspective of various issues that actually were projected with different shades or hues. So the book is a real eye-opener.

When one really needs something one merely has to outstretch one’s hand and the heavens drop in the required article

Many chapters had a profound impact on me. I especially liked Chapter VII where the instances vindicating Dr.Swamy’s two-fold philosophy that the goods of this world are to be acquired only to improve one’s efficiency and when one really needs something one merely has to outstretch one’s hand and the heavens drop in the required article is very well explained.

The chapters describing Swamy’s linguistic inclinations makes one drop one’s jaw. His fluency in Mandarin, Tamil, (besides Hindi and English…) and Haryanvi only goes to prove that he is intelligence personified. His knowledge of various subjects makes one think what would the country have gained had he been allowed a significant ministry in BJP!

The chapters describing Prabhakar Pai’s case with the hapless Pai in witness box apparently sobbing pleading for the case to be withdrawn gives a clear account of Swamy’s honesty and perseverance to stand up for the truth despite oddities.

He is a corruption crusader and definitely a Maha Guru.

A reader develops an inexplicable camaraderie with Dr. Roxna Swamy as she narrates the events with refreshing candor clearly stating the facts without mincing words.

After reading the book my regards for Swamy, his family, friends has increased multifold. He is a corruption crusader and definitely a Maha Guru. A must read for all the age groups to realise the perilous journey a great personality like Swamy underwent. The message is clear, one need not hold any significant position in the cabinet to draw the crowd, one needs to be connected to the people and needs to be genuine in his efforts.

Highly recommended book for one and all.
