Farooq Abdullah provokes Jammu, admits PM Modi will not return Articles 35A, 370

Farooq Abdullah expressed his inability to get back what the Modi Govt took away

Out-of-power, desperate, and helpless 83-year-old NC president and three-time CM Farooq Abdullah doesn’t know what he is saying and what are the implications of what he is saying in public print? It appears, he lost his way and confidence. On the one hand, he is claiming that his Gupkar residence in Srinagar is the last hope of Kashmir and centre of all secessionist and communal activities and on the other hand, he simultaneously, has been questioning the very ability, capability and credibility of his own Gupkar residence, which saw 20 frustrated and sidelined Kashmiri leaders flirting with each other on August 4, 2019, and making public what they called “Gupkar Declaration” – declaration of subversion and separation.

Politically inactive PDP patron, Muzaffar Hussain Baig, claims that the Gupkar Declaration was drafted by the bureaucrat-turned-separatist Shah Faesal and the NC claims that it was drafted by Sajjad Lone. This is a contradiction of sorts. But it is politically significant.

What Farooq Abdullah said was self-explanatory and it could be construed as a big setback for those 20 Kashmiri leaders who had pinned faith in Farooq Abdullah in August 2019.

On August 4, 2019, the Gupkar, the hub of anti-Indian citizenship activities, told New Delhi that Kashmir will accept only those things which are non-Indian. On August 22, 2020, it explained in detail what it’s August 4, 2019 declaration meant: Farooq Abdullah and five other Kashmiris – Mehbooba (PDP), Ghulam Ahmad Mir (INC), Sajjad Lone (PC), M Y Tarighami (CPIM) and Muzaffar Shah (ANC) – were committed to making Indian citizenship subordinate to J&K citizenship by forcing Narendra Modi Government to undo what it did on August 5-6, 2019, to undo what JL Nehru did between 1947 and 1954 to drive J&K out of the political and constitutional organization of India or to create a separate Republic within the Indian Republic. To be more precise, on August 22, the Gupkar Gang reiterated that it would get back Article 35A, Article 370, J&K Constitution, J&K Flag, and residuary powers, nay everything, and throw out the Indian citizenship tag lock, stock, and barrel.

And on August 26, Farooq Abdullah virtually raised his hands clearly suggesting that he and the members of the Gupkar Gang were seeking to achieve the unachievable. He without mincing words said that they would get nothing whatsoever as long as Narendra Modi and the BJP dominated, controlled and directed the New Delhi’s all-powerful South and North Blocks and that they will have to wait for the fall of the Modi/BJP Government and the return of the UPA-like dispensation at the Centre.

How else would one interpret what he said on August 26? He had said: “One day this (Modi) government will go, the new government will understand…our thinking and give us back what was snatched from us by this government.” He raised his hands or accepted the defeat of the Gupkar Gang or punctured his Gupkar balloon, while responding to a straight question: “What are your fears if Delhi doesn’t respond to what you have stated in the joint statement, given the backdrop of what had happened to the autonomy resolution?” What Farooq Abdullah said was self-explanatory and it could be construed as a big setback for those 20 Kashmiri leaders who had pinned faith in Farooq Abdullah in August 2019.

Farooq Abdullah not just expressed his inability to get back what the Modi Government took away with the full sanction of the Parliament. He also provoked the people of Jammu province, virtually saying that it was not necessary for Kashmiri leaders to take them on board while taking decisions on or discussing the political future of the Union Territory of J&K. He, for all practical purposes, said that the people of Jammu province were subjects and not citizens and that they were in the Kashmir’s pocket. There is no other meaning of what he said on August 26. Responding to the question “why there were not signatories to the Declaration’ from Jammu?”, Farooq Abdullah said: “It is because they were not there on August 4, 2019, when the Gupkar Declaration was drafted.”

The statement of Farooq Abdullah on the people of Jammu province must make the Jammu-based followers of the Kashmiri leaders, especially the Jammu-based NC leaders, to sit up and discuss their status vis-à-vis their masters in Kashmir. It’s a must. It’s the question of their self-respect and dignity of the people of Jammu province. They are not slaves. They belong to that Duggar land, which gave birth to great rulers like Ranjit Dev, Gulab Singh, Ranbir Singh, Pratap Singh, and Hari Singh, two of the four great generals of the world – General Zorawar Singh and General Baj Singh—and great heroes like Mian Dido and Baba Jito. To ignore what Farooq Abdullah said about them would be simply an affront to the self-respect of the proud Dogras of Jammu. And it is utterly unacceptable.

  • Nehru gifted Tibet to China on a golden platter. He justified the Chinese aggression within India as well as in international stages. Nehru yelled at the new Dalai Lama, upon being told that Tibet must have independence. "That is not possible!", Nehru exploded, "You say you want independence and in the same breath you say you do not want bloodshed. Impossible!" At first glance a hypocritical outburst from a man who had been with MK Gandhi led India to independence through non-violent means exitdragon.blogspot.com

  • Modi’s Clean and Clear Master Stroke in his second round of NDA rule is widely acclaimed in India and the key players in the middle east and the entire western world with the exception of Turkey and Iran. Modi is well set and poised to govern longer, making India sound and stronger, not getting pushed over by cunning Antinational Separatists. Farooq and Dynast Omar along with Muftis got quarantined longer forcing them into isolation, thus making Gupkar declaration irrelevant Gapsa, empty gas. Instigator Pakistan is getting a kick in the butt from their long standing paymaster, Saudi Arabia and now Pak. gets pushed in the lap of China so Pak coul turn out to be another Xinjiang province too soon. That day is not far off.

  • Good that he has some brains to know that these laws passed legally by both houses of parliament and approved by the Supreme court can NEVER be reversed. People whom he kept as refugees for almost fifty plus years with out giving them voting rights, rights to buy properties and marry an outsider, will NEVER let the Abdulla and other separatists to take control. Once we go after their illgotten looted wealth, the forts of these people will crash. Let us settle thousands of families of army people who have sacrificed to protect this state for the past seventy years. These people have rights than any body else. Let us bring back the glory of ancient Hindu culture and civilization, and history to the valley. people want to see the changes and any new thing which gets appreciated will stay.

This shall be the Foxy Farooq's obituary statement. Jut like police stations in the country, hope military stations should be established in the newly formed JK and L UTs to handle anti-nationals.

  • This is ominous and shouldn't be dismissed out of hand. This is of a piece with what the AIMPLB has said in connection with the Supreme Court Judgement in the Ayodhya case, namely, when our time and our govt comes back to power, we will restore the Status Quo.
That Shah Faesal could thumb his nose at the Indian State and nearly succeed in joining forces with Turkey to plot for it's downfall and then, with characteristic impunity, brazenly be allowed to regain his posting as an officer in the IAS, speaks volumes about the kind of trade-offs the Secular Indian State will be forced to make in the wake of the Ayodhya Judgement. Already, Minorities in our immediate neighbourhood countries are in danger of experiencing the wanton destruction of their places of worship, homes, livelihoods and lives on the lines of what transpired post-1992, as evidenced by :

The hopes and aspirations of the Dogra people have been kept in abeyance for too long. Rather than add to that unconscionable Seige around the town of Jammu, the Indian State is enjoined by the Constitution of India to lift the pall of gloom over their status as Free and Equal citizens of this Nation, that is Bharat.

  • Let this 83 yr old Abdullah wait for another 100 yrs - with predominantly in his grave for change of BJP Govt to their darling Rahul Gandhi's Congress. In the meantime the dick headed Rahul, his Italian Mother and sister all will be either burnt or in grave. That time there will be no J&K of present configuration.
