Historian Ramachandra Guha and industrialist Nandan Nilekani are running an NGO (Non-Government Organization) called The New India Foundation for the past 12 years and the major work of this Bangalore based firm is to provide funding for mainly journalists who desire to publish books. A sum of Rs.12 lakhs ($) will be paid in 12 instalments for a book writing project.
The pattern of allotment of funds shows that the books or writers with Left-Liberal views, the pet idea of the major trustee Ramachandra Guha are funded by this Foundation. So who have been funded thus far?
Journalists such as Akshaya Mukul who produced Hindu-bashing book called Gita Press and The Making of Hindu India, Ajay Shukla on Chinese border conflicts, Rahul Pandita on Kashmir conflicts, former Tehelka reporter Nishita Jha on violence against women etc are blessed with the Rs. 12 lakh grants. The detailed list of fellowships allotted are available at the NGO’s website.
Apart from funding book publishing, this NGO also conducts annual seminars. The pattern of speakers and the subjects are usually the pro-Congress activities and covert campaign of Congress agendas, cleverly padded with Left-Liberal views.
The question is what is the agenda of this NGO? Is it for running a pro-Congress, Liberal and Left agenda with hate-Hindu philosophies? Clearly the money comes from Nilekani’s side and Guha is the face of the organization. To be fair, there is a work commissioned on Rajaji and Sheikh Abdullah which one can argue as being broad based.
While one might argue that it is the prerogative of the NGO to decide who or what to fund, it is not fair for the journalists who, having written with a slant, still claim themselves as being independent. Taking a stance as such as Left or Left of Center or Center is fine but don’t camouflage it as being “independent”.

At least these guys should have pondered the meaning of the names their parents christened them.

These are “convented secularists”. Those who inherited the mantle worn by the Columbia, Cambridge, St Stephen’s. Elphinstoine, Madras Christian and Presidency educated PANGOLIN* WOGs who condemned India to a perpetual Civil War with their Constitution.

It is strange that Nandan would do something along the lines mentioned above in the article. For someone to have written quite well (Imagining India) and seem bent (at least on intent) in doing good for the greater country, and simultaneously to have left – liberal view and causing soft damage to India’s image (through funding these projects) is truly appalling. There is no doubt that he single handedly is responsible for increasing awareness on India’s potential with the Western World (through soft diplomacy through Tom Friedman and through Aadhar).
However, it seems that ever since he got tarnished with contesting election in Bangalore against AnanthKumar, there appears to be an agenda against our current party. Guess these lines were drawn, and his allegiance skewed when he got awarded the Aadhar and with his increasing influence with the Congi family.
Are not NGOs meant to carry on only charitable and socially relevant benefial activities totally free of political taint and are they not for this reason not taxed on their incomes? If so, will the IT dept look into this NGO’s case?
These people are hell bent on the idea that Indians should never be proud of their Hindu identity and their past. Their whole mission in life is to debunk and demonise Hinduism so that people remain eternal slaves in their mind and are subservient to self-destructive poison which they want us to imbibe selectively from the West. I say selectively because not all of western thought is bad, but these worthies introduce concepts from the west which deprecate the self-worth of Indians so that they disown their past and live as intellectual slaves of a completely imitated thought process. And currently they are smarting from the bruises they have sustained from the churn in the political change that has happened in India. They know the bruises will go away and so they carry on relentlessly with their sinister agenda. Of which the JNUs, paid commies, Akshay Mukuls are their mercenaries

Its pain to know that these stalwarts and intellectuals have no sense of country’s heritage. Mr Narayan Murthy who in early days before Infosys was formed was communists thinker. He with his son have been translating old Hindu documents with Shankaracharya math which is open copyright violations. Now Nilekani is doing same thing. Why these learned people are against our religion is difficult to understand. All of them must take courses on our religion by joining Rajiv Malhotra infinity foundation to change their mindset.
