In a direct attack on Sonia Gandhi and family, the Union Home Ministry (MHA) on Wednesday constituted an inter-ministerial probe team to investigate the allegation of money laundering, foreign contributions and income tax evasions by Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (RGF), Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust (RGCT) and Indira Memorial Trust. According to highly placed officials, the Union Urban Development Ministry is also probing into the misuse of land allotment by the RGF, which is controlled by Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka. The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress were engaged in a bitter battle over the RGF after the Indo-Chinese border tussle and Chinese funding into the RGF for the past two weeks.
The Home Ministry spokesperson said a Special Director in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) will head the inter-ministerial team. “The Ministry of Home Affairs has set up an inter-ministerial committee to coordinate investigations into violation of various legal provisions of PMLA, Income Tax Act, FCRA etc., by the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust and Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust. Special Director of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) will head the committee,” said the Spokesperson.
Capturing the land allotted to Congress party, from 1991, Sonia Gandhi and family were enjoying the Jawahar Bhawan by establishing Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.
The Rajiv Gandhi Foundation is working at Raisina Road was actually allotted for the Congress party to build their headquarters titled as Jawahar Bhawan in 1988 in connection with the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s centenary. But after 1991, though the building (Jawahar Bhawan) was constructed, it was converted into the office of Rajiv Gandhi Foundation chaired by Sonia Gandhi and family members. Urban Development Ministry has sought a report from the Land and Development (L&DO) to submit a report in this regard, which may lead to the eviction of RGF from the prime area in New Delhi.
Reacting to the development, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, who filed a complaint demanding the seizure of the land and building illegally occupied by RGF in 2015 said that the MHA must speed-up the probe and issue show cause notice to Rahul Gandhi on his British Citizenship.

Dr Subramanian Swamy’s Petition to MHA contained Prima facie evidence that Raul Vincie has double passport – dual citizenship case, but no action by MHA. LS Ethics Committee Parliamentary panel headed by their Great Leader Shri Lal Krishna Advani did NOT convene a single meeting, after framing SOP for Ethics Committee. BJP’s anti corruption drive is a mere eye wash. The result of the present inter-ministerial committee constituted by MHA is going to be ” COMMITTEE MEETS TO ADJOURN, ADJOURNS ONLY TO MEET AGAIN” Thats all, nothing else. There may be some expenses to GoI for tea, coffee, cool drinks, biscuits, snacks under Atma Nirbar programme.
If BJP Govt is serious enough & means business, let them entrust the job of overseeing / monitoring the function of the inter-departmental team of GoI to Dr Subramanian Swamy, he will secure convictions for ALL CORRUPT ELEMENTS within max. 6 to 12 months. But fear in the BJP, then Dr Swamy will get Name and fame, that will not be tolerated by them.
