For the past few months Congress leader and noted lawyer Kapil Sibal is engaged in conducting press conferences on tall tales. The latest was the hard-to-believe canard on Three Lakh Crores worth new currency notes being printed from abroad and brought in on an Air Force plane. Sibal made this atrocious allegation citing the claims of a former “RAW Field Assistant.”
RAW person was a terminated Constable
Sibal’s lies were exposed by Indian spy agency Research and Analytical Wing (RAW) citing that the concerned person mentioned in the dramatic press conference was a terminated Constable from the agency. Rahul Ratharekar was terminated from RAW after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) found him guilty of making false promises to people about the exchange of old notes during the Demonetisation (Demo). This person was recruited to RAW in 2012 during the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) tenure as a Constable and terminated in November 2017, after being caught on old notes exchange related deals with many traders in Delhi.
Mr.Sibal, you are a designated Senior Lawyer of the Supreme Court. You must stop telling tales that do not add up.
Kapil Sibal’s allegations do not add up. In the press conference, he claimed that with the connivance of top BJP leadership and PMO, Rs.3 Lakh Crores were printed abroad and an Air Force plane was used to transport it to India.
Fact checking Sibal’s claim
Let us do the math. Rs.1 crore worth of Rs.2000 notes weighs around five kilograms. So Three Lakh Crores would weigh about (3,00,000 * 5 kg) or 1500 tons.
The biggest transport plane that the Indian Air Force (IAF) has is a Globe Master from Boeing and its capacity to carry is 78 tons. So 1500 tons-worth notes (assuming Rs.2000 is the face value of the note) would need to be transported in 19 to 20 sorties if a Globe Master is used. Mr. Sibal, can such a big operation be kept secret in a country like India? The IAF has already rejected these allegations.
Many intelligence agency people believe that the Constable met Sibal to file a case against his termination from the RAW and Sibal used his services to create a fake story for consumption during the election season.
Mr.Sibal, this is not the first time you are telling such Cock and Bull-kind stories. A few months ago you were spotted at the London venue of a press conference on the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) hacking organized by a dubious entity named after Indian Journalists living in India[1]. This organization is headed by a journalist Ashis Ray, known for his links with Congress and was caught for peddling lies about Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s death mystery to support Congress and Jawaharlal Nehru.
A few weeks ago Sibal was peddling another lie based on a website in Eastern Europe, supposedly funded by Congress’ overseas wing. After funding a pro-Congress TV channel Tiranga TV (earlier known as Harvest TV), it seems Sibal is interested in fake stories and fake sting operations[2]. Sibal was the well-wisher of many a sting operation of Tehelka Magazine, which is now not seen in the market after its founder Tarun Tejpal was caught for sexually abusing a junior colleague. Tehelka’s company records show that Sibal donated money during its early stages.
Mr.Sibal, you are a designated Senior Lawyer of the Supreme Court. You must stop telling tales that do not add up. Sometimes we have to agree with Mahatma Gandhi when he said that a Lawyer’s profession is a Liar’s profession, seeing Sibal’s latest tricks.

Nothing less can be expected from a conman like Sibal. Sibal belongs to the glorious Congress tradition of one scam per day. When not doing scams, he is representing terrorists, Maoists and international gangsters and drug traffickers in court against India. His charge is Rs 20 Lacs for a ten minute court appearance.!!!! He earns more than Rs 1 Crore per day!!!!. This Congressman knows the dark secrets of most of the terrorists and dreaded gangsters of India as he has represented them in court. Now he has opened Tiranga TV, one among multiple businesses he owns. He has a habit of firing employees, without ANY payment. He uses his legal clout to intimidate and scare employees. This is the man so close to Sonia Gandhi that she calls him whenever there is a problem. This man should be in jail. Instead he hobnobs with Supreme Court judges and the powers that be of India’s corrupt industrialists and politicians. We must recall the Hindu terror theory advanced to explain some terror events in an incredible turn of events. The trial did not find evidence to support the accusation and resulted in a abandoning the hypothesis.
I am amazed that a trial in a major terror case of this magnitude can just be forgotten after trial ended rejecting the hypothesis.
