NCW seeks report. BJP leaders accuse Mumbai police of saving Soren

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren is facing serious charges of rape and brutal sexual assault with a Mumbai based model again filing a complaint with the police and the Court about the seven-year-old incident. The National Commission for Women (NCW) also sought a report on the incident when the aspiring actress complained of being brutally raped at Mumbai’s Hotel Taj Lands’ End in Bandra after the complaint went viral on social media. According to the complaint, the alleged rape happened in September 2013 when Hemant Soren became the Chief Minister of Jharkhand for the first time. According to her new complaint, filed last week, she was forced to withdraw her first complaint filed in September 2013. Remember that at that time, Soren was the Chief Minister of Jharkhand with Congress support and Congress was ruling in Maharashtra with NCP support and the Centre was also under the UPA regime.

When one reads the complaint, shock is the first word that comes to mind. The issue resurfaced in July 2020 when the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP) Nishikant Dubey raised the illegalities of Mumbai police in closing the case and the role of Soren in forcing her to withdraw the case. Then Soren filed an Rs.100 crore defamation suit. Now Soren is in hot water again after she again filed the complaint to police and to the Court and now, with the NCW seeking a report on the matter.

After the accident, she complained to all demanding a probe on the rape case and facing threats for seven years to State and Centre authorities.

Rape at a five-star hotel

As per the complaint, she was brought to the 21st-floor room at around 10 PM by one Suresh Nagre, with a promise to introduce her to film personalities. But in that luxurious suit, Hemant Soren was there and Nagre all of a sudden left the room. In her complaint, she details the alleged brutality, threat, and rape by the Chief Minister. The detailed complaint on the horrific rape accusations of the aspiring actress was recently published on the OpIndia website[1].

Was there an attempt on the model’s life?

According to the model, for the past seven years, she was facing threats from Soren and his people, and recently she met with an accident that she suspects is an attempt to eliminate her. After the accident, she complained to all demanding a probe on the rape case and facing threats for seven years to State and Centre authorities. NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma has sought a report on the matter[2].

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey in a series of tweets said that Mumbai police must register a First Information Report (FIR) on the model’s complaint:

Doubting money pumping to hush-up the case, Nishikant Dubey again tweeted that certain hawala operators were operating from Dubai-based Nova Hotel:

Former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi also demanded a CBI probe on this incident accusing Mumbai police of saving Chief Minister Hemant Soren:
