Now, Khatija Praveen has been granted citizenship of India. The family is thankful to the Government of India.
Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Rahul Yadav, handed over a certificate of registration granting Indian Citizenship to Khatija Praveen w/o Mohammad Taj in his office chamber.
According to the official spokesman, “khatija Praveen who was born in Pakistan was granted Indian Citizenship on the basis of marriage to an Indian under section 5(1)(c) of the Citizenship Act, 1955″.
“Everyone in our family, on both sides of the border, is happy”. The family is also planning to perform pilgrimage after receiving passport documents in the near future.
Khatija Praveen along with her husband, Mohd Taj, expressed great happiness and gratitude for receiving the Certificate of Registration from GOI, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi.
Interacting with media at her home in Poonch, Khatija Parveen said, “soon after my marriage in 1980 I could not visit Poonch for lack of travel documents”. She said, “I waited for almost three long years before uniting with my husband in Poonch in 1983″.
“All these years, every time I visited Pakistan to meet my family members, I was worried about my travel documents. I had to ensure timely renewal of my VISA documents to ensure I continue to stay with my family and look after my children”. “Now, I am happy. I can travel to Pakistan freely on my Indian passport”. She proudly announced, in front of media, “I have already submitted my documents for issuance of Indian passport”.
Khatija Parveen’s elder daughter, Fatima, was feeling on top of the world after receiving this news. She was busy attending a large number of family friends and close relatives who were there to greet them. Fatima said, “all these years we could never plan a holiday due to citizenship status of our mother”. “Our father had this worry on his mind and never stepped out of Delhi”. “We always wanted to pay a visit to Ajmer Sharif dargah but could not visit. Now we can travel together and pay for a thanksgiving visit. soon”
Khatija Parveen’s husband, Mohd Taj, who retired from the state education department recently, said his wife had applied for citizenship in 2000 but could not get the same. “Now she has been granted citizenship of India. We are thankful to the Government of India. “Everyone in our family, on both sides of the border, is happy”. The family is also planning to perform pilgrimage after receiving passport documents in the near future.

This is a positive news and should be an eye opener to those arsonists Muslims agitating against CAA and NRC pretending innocent and accusing government and abusing Modi for excluding Muslims from CAA. This example should provide a strong argument to expose Muslims CAA protesters’ lies that bonafide Pakistani Muslims can get Indian citizenship.
Hopefully she does not get radicalised on her travel to Pakistan and turn Jihadi on her return to India.
