Professor R Vaidyanathan suggested that punishment must be SEVERE to those who are found guilty in court cases. Currently there is no deterrence to commit crimes. The fine is a few hundred rupees even if you loot one crore rupees or a few months in prison. Modi government must revise the fines and punishments in court cases and make them EXTREMELY SEVERE so that people hesitate to do anything illegal. There is no need to show any kindness towards bad people. Also, if a court case takes 10 years to complete, the guilty must be imprisoned for at least 10 years more, so that the accused do not prolong the case by taking more and more adjournments. This will also serve to bring down the number of court cases. Finally, I congratulate and thank Sree Iyer and TEAM PGURUS for providing this wonderful website.
