Politicians – strawmen that only care for themselves

The decision to shift the metro car shed from Aarey colony to Kanjur Marg will cost Rs. 4000 crores. In reality, with cost overruns, it will cost at least Rs. 10000 crores (you may save the post for cost comparison). To give you an idea of the implications, with that money Mumbai could have had much needed ten km long underground corridor.

Constitutional governance in India has become a joke. Earlier, Jagan Reddy said he would have three state capitals, just like that.

Power over public money is a dangerous thing. This is how the jokers will throw money around in the absence of a wise, watchful, and vigilant citizenry. And that will always mean less money for essential infrastructure, and in the hands of taxpayers, less money for investments that leads to jobs.
