The Kashmir Files takes the UK by storm. Britain has the dubious distinction of sheltering organizations like the JKLF and their ilk and not doing anything about their activities back home. Pt. Satish K Sharma looks at the impact of the movie on the genocide that was attempted on Kashmiri Hindus, the British apathy & reactions of theaters messing up the showing to hide the truth.

  1. Excellent interview. Measured and sober answers by Pt Satish Sharma.

Movies like this are great opportunities to change the course of history, but only if used properly to provide justice and compensation to Kashmiri Pandits and bring the wrong-doers to book.

It is amazing that the SC didn’t find it fit to take up the case (when it should have taken it up even suo moto) and gave excuses of time bar (when there can be no time bar in criminal cases).

I understand that Modi is trying to have resolved within the legal framework, but it is taking time. I hope this film offers an impetus.

I think this is the best time to create a forum (say, thru a website and social media, like Twitter) of the movie watchers and supporters, and keep the issue hot till the issue is resolved honestly. PGurus can perhaps take the initiative and mobilize opinion leaders to focus on this. without delay. Every day of delay may mean missing the best opportunity.

  2. Some brits might agree that it was a genocide, but most politicians are sold out by the vote bank and thus will keep mum.
