After Partition the Muslim Community should have handed over Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi back to the Hindus as well as asked for a pardon for the atrocities committed by their ancestors. They should have also thanked the Hindu Community for letting them form a new country exclusively for Muslims and furthermore for allowing the leftover Muslims to live and work in India.
