Salaam Mumbai! A tribute to the city’s undying spirit

No one can kill the spirit of Mumbai!! Salaam Mumbai!!

Salaam Mumbai!!
Yesterday I did not see any Marathi, Gujju, Bhaiyya, Bihari, Tamilian, Bong, Sindhi, Panju, Mallu, Maru or Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jain or Brahmin, Maratha, OBC, SC, ST, VJNT etc. I saw only saw Mumbaikars– stuck in traffic, trains and buses, wading through knee-deep dirty water, and most importantly helping each other. People offered food and shelter to perfect strangers. Temples, mosques, gurudwaras and churches opened their doors to citizens of all religions.
But what I definitely did not see are the netas. Perhaps they were busy counting the money given by road and garbage contractors, builders etc. The state govt and the BMC also let the city down.  It is because of the greed and corruption of these guys that Mumbai is suffering.
But no one can kill the spirit of Mumbai!! Salaam Mumbai!!
