Take any country in the world; whether it is the US or the West, there are thousands of seminary schools teaching Christian education. In the Middle-East, there are Madrassas type Islamic-education based schools, but in India, one cannot establish schools based on India’s ancient heritage but you are allowed to have Christian or Islamic schools! Baba Ramdev-ji has this idea for a long time to establish such schools in the country where both modern subjects and India’s ancient heritage are taught. He has been requesting a ‘Swadeshi school Board’ so that he can establish such schools, which he calls ‘Gurukul schools‘, around the country. As of the writing of this post, the Modi Government has not given one.

The buzz is that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has little chance to get a mandate anywhere close to what it got in 2014 and most definitely will need coalition partners with their own set of demands to form the Government in 2019, that too in the most optimistic scenario. There is heartfelt pain among those who worked day and night for BJP and Modi-ji that even the simplest things that affect their base have been pushed aside for later. But people moods are fickle and the issues of the day determine who wins an election and it seems like an opportunity to correct the discrimination of Hindus is being frittered away, perhaps for generations to come.
Even after 70 years, our children are taught a highly biased history that BJP has not had the courage to correct. What young minds learn stay throughout their life and that is the time to teach the true history of the country and confront the perhaps uncomfortable truths. Germany did not push holocaust under the rug; in fact, they went the other way to study every aspect of it so that it never occurs again. Islamic invasions, missionaries inquisitions, the colossal plunder of British that converted the world’s richest country into a beggarly country, as Vivekananda said, a country of 300 million skeletons, we need to confront it and study it so that it does not get repeated. There is a big debate in the country whether people should be forced to stand for National Anthem during movies, but when citizens are infused with a passion for nationhood, such questions are moot. In the United States, we see how well it is inculcated and people stand with their hand on their hearts whenever their anthem is sung for any occasion.
Take care of your core base
Modi-Ji needs to follow Trump on how he never loses his base and there is little chance anyone can stop him from a second term. Why go so far as the US, look at what the non-BJP parties did once they came to power! One of the first things Siddharamiah did in Karnataka when the Congress came to power a few years ago was to remove the restrictions on cow slaughter. Mamta Banerjee removed any Saffron colour in Government buildings and worse any remote mention of Ram, or even anything sounding similar to it from school textbooks or in Government literature to appease her Muslim base. On the other hand, BJP has done precious little whether it is correcting history in textbooks, or even declaring Ram Sethu as a national monument. Leave alone Ram Mandir, it has not even allowed starting Hindu schools. Hindu Temples are still under Government control and all parties are looting the money of Hindu devotees. While Hindu temple treasures are considered fair game, all political parties are cowards when it is coming to taking control of minority worship places. If Government wants to take money for development, then why cannot they take it proportionately from all worship places, why only Hindu worship places?
BJP needs to resist being terrorized by the propaganda of aggressive media and their foreign counterparts funded by foreign NGOs and missionary establishments whenever core issues of BJP vote base are addressed. Word is that in the recently held state elections, only 2% of Muslims voted for BJP and BJP is hardly eager to address the longstanding issues of their own base. It is in their best interest to address the needs of their base.
Need for Gurukul based schools
Before the British came in and destroyed it, the Gurukul schools were an integral part of India’s education system. The records unearthed show people from all classes of society well represented in these Gurukul schools. India was the leader in technology and science until its premier institutions like Nalanda University were destroyed by Islamic invaders. Dalai Lama, who is treated as a celebrity by West goes around saying that the ‘mind science’ that is part of Buddhism is developed in India’s learning centres like Nalanda and repeatedly says India is their Guru and Tibet is its ‘chela’ (student). The destruction of such great learning centres in no small way contributed to India’s missing the industrial revolution and become a leader of the new world.
Let us correct the history by starting with a ‘Swadeshi Education board’.

Why can’t we have such Hindu schools while the minority have a lot of their schools…
Need of the hour too….
Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas. PM Modi never once has openly admitted that he will work for the interest of the Hindus. He is a wily politician smart enough to exploit Hindus who believe that he represents them. His advantage is the misplaced trust of the Hindus in him and the TINA factor.
Perhaps it is too late to undo the damage. Money was the focus of this government. Knowledge wasn’t. God alone can save India now.
Yoga, Pranayam, Meditation & Suryanamaskar should be made part of curriculum in Schools & Colleges
PM Modi has to take drastic steps like removing and prosecuting corrupt officers and henchmen of PC along with the present FM and give a hint they were obstructionist for implementing his poll promises and say to public if another term of governance if he get he can completely full fill his poll promises. Then people will vote for him. If he protects the corrupt and inefficient ministers in his cabinet he can not dream of occupying the PM chair
