BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has petitioned to the Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairperson Venkaiah Naidu for terminating the Rajya Sabha Membership of newly elected MDMK Member of Parliament Vaiko alias V. Gopala Swamy, citing that he has violated the Oath and breached the Constitution of India by his anti-Hindi comments. In his letter, Swamy urged that Vaiko’s slurs against the Hindi language is a gross violation of Article 351 of the Constitution and this matter must be referred to Ethics Committee and Rajya Sabha should pass a resolution to “unseat” him.
Swamy who always terms Vaiko as a supporter of terrorist organization Liberation of Tamil Tigers for Eelam (LTTE) said that the Ethics Committee of Rajya Sabha must determine whether “he is fit to remain as a member of Rajya Sabha anymore.”
“His (Vaiko alias V. Gopala Swamy) widely published statement that Hindi is not a developed language and only book published as literature in Hindi is the Railway Time-Table. This is an aggravated insult to all Indians. He also demands that the Prime Minister should speak in Parliament in English only, which is also a slur on one of our National languages Hindi which is recognised under Article 351 of the Constitution of India as an official language or the Union of India. He has further said that Sanskrit is a dead language and it is useless to learn it, when Article 351 mandates the Sanskrit vocabulary should be used in Hindi. This is also a gross insult to the Nation,” said Swamy citing the recent provocative comments of Vaiko. Subramanian Swamy’s letter to Rajya Sabha Chairperson is published below this report.
“Mr. Vaiko has flouted the Oath he took (as Candidate) and upon election to uphold the Constitution. Hence it is highly objectionable and unethical breach of his Oath to uphold the Constitution, and a slur on the patriotic Indian people. Hence I think it is appropriate to refer this matter to the Ethics Committee and hold an inquiry to determine whether a Resolution should be passed by the House to unseat Mr.Vaiko from his membership of the House for his conduct unbecoming of a Member of the House,” said Swamy.

In the same way, I request @Swamy39 to take up the matter of ANTI NATIONAL Farooq Abdullah, 8% votes polled Srinagar MP, J&K State, through any one of the patriotic LS MPs to lodge a complaint with Lok Sabha Speaker against Farooq Abdullah. He has been repeatedly saying in media & news channels that 1/3rd of J&K State areas under illegal occupation of Pakistan, be RETAINED BY them, as it is their territory. He is telling again & again that areas are NOT Indian territory, thus repeatedly & seriously violated his oath as an LS MP to protect the PRABUTHA, AKANTITHA OF BHARAT’s territorial integrity. LS Speaker Shri Om Birla should refer his case to Ethics Committee to decide within 30 days of reference to Ethics Committee of LS and UNSEAT/EXPEL him as an MP of Lok Sabha. Will any one of the BJP / Congi LS MPs have the guts to move a resolution to this effect in current Lok Sabha session against Farooq Abdullah’s anti national statements?

By insisting on Hindi, BJP is giving lifeline to anti Hindu Dravidian politicians. Any language other than English and mother tongue should be optional. In fact many DMK politicians owned schools merrily teach Hindi due to popular demand. Imposing Hindi will help only divisive forces. Let market forces determine which language needs to be taught.

I completely agree with this view. Propping up Hindi at the cost of other languages will only give a handle to divisive forces. Hindi will grow even in TN, over time, by natural processes.
However, Dr Swamy is only saying that no one should denigrate any Indian language, Hindi in this case. And he’s perfectly right.

Only to overcome this fear, we have to teach hindi in government schools from lower classes.
There should be hindi volunteers who can be paid by government to teach hindi in panchayats…..
Most of the city people want their kids to learn an extra language… And they find people to teach hindi.. but villages don’t have…

Rajguru @Swamy39 has rightly initiated the step to unseat anti national elements entering the portal of Rajya sabha of Indian Parliament. He is still eulogising LTTE, LTTE cadres and did not condemn the assasination of our former PM Rajiv Gandhi by LTTE cadre Thanu. Just because the bold move was initiated by Dr Subramanian Swamy for a right cause, BJP should not backtrack & stab him in the back.
The RS Ethics Committee to complete the entire scrutiny of documents & investigations within ONE MONTH by following the principles of natural justice, although Vaiko doesn’t deserve that. The RS Ethics Committee should not put the matter in cold storage a la LK Advani did in the case of DUAL CITIZENSHIP & MULTIPLE PASSPORTS held by Rahul Gandhi in the 16th LOK Sabha tenure 2014-2019, incidentally that was also initiated by Dr Subramanian Swamy through the then Del Lok Sabha MP Maheish Girri. BJP high command unjustly punished him by denying LS Ticket to contest in the recently held LS May 2019 Election.

Vaiko was once the likely CM of Tamilnadu. He has been gifted the RS membership by those who are aware that, given a chance, he may not win an election. It is time he tried to imbibe the qualities and the stature of a true statesman now instead of remaining a leader of a small coterie.
