To society, you are a boat in a lake. To you, society is the lake. Your fate is tied up with the society around you, whether you like it or not. Higher the water in the lake, lesser your chances of running aground and getting wrecked. Calmer the lake around you, safer you are. Cleaner the water of the lake, better is the air you breathe.
More your neighbour is educated, more hopeful he is about life, safer you are, better are your chances of an improved economic life. A man in a job is an inspiration for his extended family, his relatives, his neighbours, inspiring them to aspire for a better life. More the people around you are trying to better their economic condition, higher your chance of a better economic life.
We are stupid that is why we are wasting our time in opposing reservations while Leftists are plotting (and succeeding) downfall of our country itself
You can not sell a Mercedes in a village – it is not that they do not want a Mercedes, it is not that you don’t want to sell it there, it is not that Merc is not a wonderful car. It is just that they have not done matching production of other goods and services. And so the Merc, instead of enriching you, will end up ruining you, by remaining unsold. You need a market to sell the Merc, and market is nothing but a collection of human beings with money in their pockets. If human beings are not there, or they do not have money in their pockets, you can’t sell anything there.
It is possible to become rich even if others are not doing well, either by looting them directly, or through devices like usury (सूदखोरी), but such prosperity always attracts other looters and mostly ends up in the destruction of the person who accumulates such riches.
We were stupid that is why we were slaves to barbarians for one thousand years. And we are stupid that is why we are wasting our time in opposing reservations while Leftists are plotting (and succeeding) downfall of our country itself, what to say of economy, destroying a million times more jobs than those lost to a reservation.
