There are several instances where Twitter’s hypocrisy being exposed but recently for the first time, Twitter added a fact-checking tag against Donald Trump’s tweet where he tweeted about “Fraud in mail-in voting.” Twitter also hid Trump’s Tweet where he posted a warning message to rioters and stated: “Looter at protests in Minneapolis would be shot.”
Twitter defend themselves and said that Trump’s tweets are breaking its rules by “glorifying violence”. But there are several Twitter accounts that are glorifying violence but Twitter doesn’t bother about those accounts.
Twitter promoted a Terrorist Outfit, Khalistan, which is banned in India. Twitter accepting blood money from terrorist organizations, claims former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) IT Cell head[1]. “Twitter is involved in willful collection of money from terrorist organizations and perpetrating crimes against citizens of this country,” alleges former BJP IT Cell national co-convenor Vinit Goenka when he was speaking to IndiaTV.
There have been many Police complaints filed in India against Twitter for promoting Jihadis. A few days ago, the Twitter account of the White House also exposed Twitter’s hypocrisy by posting the screenshot of Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei, in which Iran’s supreme leader defends the right of Palestinians to resist Israel’s occupation. “This Tweet violated the Twitter rules about glorifying violence. However, @Twitter has determined that it will allow terrorists, dictators, and foreign propagandists to abuse its platform,” reads the White House’s post.

There are a lot of prominent Right Winger Twitter accounts that are put under shadow ban and these accounts are yet to get a reply from Twitter about their rules of Shadow-banning. Another Right winger account @TrueIndology (used to have 100k+ followers) which got suspended for exposing fake Historians and Liberals. The man who is running TrueIndology account is yet to receive a reply from Twitter about its suspension of the account. Now he running a new account @TIinExile and he didn’t lose his certitude on Twitter. The new account immediately garnered 100k followers and this is the testimony of his astute exposure which he did through his Tweets via an old account which unfortunately got suspended.
A couple of days, Twitter removed Donald Trump’s campaign video of showing empathy for the peaceful protesters[2]. As media (davidharrisjr.com) further reported that: “The Left doesn’t want you to know that the president has empathy for peaceful protesters. Leftists are throwing out a false narrative saying the president doesn’t support peaceful protesters. Joe Biden’s campaign lies almost every time in his tweet, and there are no fact checks on them.”
Twitter India has restricted official accounts of home-grown dairy giant Amul early morning because they have criticized China in one of its cartoons. “Caution: This account is temporarily restricted. You’re seeing this warning because there has been some unusual activity from this account. Do you still want to view it?” a post placed by Twitter on Amul’s official handle read.

Twitter definitely has different rules for different accounts and this is the hypocrisy of American social media giant.

Why do you people have Twitter & fAcebook accounts when everybody knows that the account information is traded behind scenes for sabotaging & subversive activities ?

If Twitter has any representative Office in India, arrest all the Officials under the stringent UAPA.

Most people are not aware of how few employees at these companies make the decisions. And having well placed employees may well serve the interests of a few groups. Not too long ago, I read “former Twitter employees with spying for Saudi Arabia by accessing the company’s information on dissidents”. My guess is other countries do ”tis as well as is other groups. Instead of complaining, learn how they operate.
The biggest issue of these platforms is their ability to squash voices that don’t echo what they believe to be appropriate.
The second biggest issue is their control of directory and identity information on so many. Imagine what information well placed sources at these companies have access to.
Atmanirbhr is not a slogan, but it is a policy to be implemented and also unity and equality but we lack the basic principles and so we are immature against the West.
When twitter an American Co, cannot be controlled by US president, how can indians control it ? Perhaps twitter is funded by jehadists and China. It would have been proper for the author to provide ideas as to how to control the menace from Twitter.

Right on the money Sir. We must counter Twitter and Face book with our own platforms that protect our natioanalistic democratic anti colonial policies. I know one who got suspended from Face book for addressing the menace of China, Bangladeshis and Rohigyas on India. He was told that his comments were insensitive. How unrestricted entry of foreigners to a neighboring country is not a serious threat to democracy? We need to exercise control by having foreign MNC subjected to local laws by having certain information located locally.
