Internal bickering exposes Kerala CPI-M leader’s son cheating Dubai company of Rs. 13 crores and escaping

The ideological divide in CPI-M on aligning with Congress has turned to be bitter fight leading to the leaking of the complaint against Politburo Member and Kerala’s State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan’s son for absconding and cheating a Dubai company of Rs.13 crores. According to the complaint filed by the Dubai based company Jaas Tourism to the party’s central leadership,  Balakrishnan’s elder son Binoy had cheated them by not-returning around Rs.13 crores taken as loan.

The complaint filed by Dubai national Hasan Ismaeel Abdulla Al Marzooqi, says that he was forced to complain after father Balakrishnan retracted from the promises over a year to pay back the money and settle the issue. The CPI-M leader’s son was running a company called Solv Management in Sharjah and entered into a partnership with Jaas Tourism. It is learned that Jaas Tourism was also have several big NRI tycoons from Kerala. Jaas Tourism’s website shows that they are engaged in channeling international tourists to Kerala and that could be the reason they have obliged the ruling party’s State Secretary’s son Binoy.

Jaas Tourism has approached the courts in Dubai and the Prosecutor has sought the help of Interpol to catch the absconding party leader’s son, who is now safely ensconced in Kerala. According to company owners, there are five other, similar kind of criminal cases against Binoy in Dubai and that he is evading the courts after he returned to Kerala in 2016.

The news appeared in Kerala’s newspapers and websites on Wednesday and CPI-M Kerala leaders are wondering if this complaint was leaked by the party General Secretary Sitaram Yechury faction as the Kerala lobby voted against Yechury’s proposal to align with Congress. Meanwhile, in Delhi, Yechury pretended innocence over the matter and reiterated that the party received no such complaints. But Kerala websites brought out the complaint filed by the Dubai company to the party’s central leadership.

Wait and see… This is just the beginning.
