A gruesome incident has shocked West Bengal after the body of a 12-year-old girl was found stuffed inside a sack in the South 24 Parganas district. The prime suspect in the case was later allegedly lynched by an angry mob, police said.
According to officials, the girl had gone missing before her body was recovered from a sack, triggering outrage among local residents. Preliminary investigations suggest she was murdered before her body was dumped.
As news of the crime spread, villagers allegedly caught hold of the prime suspect and assaulted him. Despite efforts to rescue him, the accused succumbed to his injuries, police said.
