
Telangana Chief Minister summoned in probe into doctored Amit Shah video
On Monday, the Delhi Police summoned Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddyand other Congress leaders over Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s doctored video case.
Delhi Police also summoned Telangana Congress social media in-charge, state coordinator, and spokesperson in connection with the doctored video case.
A team of Delhi Police reached Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) headquarters Gandhi Bhavan and served notice on the party’s social media in-charge Manne Satish, state coordinator Naveen Pettem, and spokesperson Asma Tasleem.
The notice has reportedly been served under section 91/160 of the Criminal Procedure Code. Delhi Police has registered a case under IPC sections 153, 153A, 465, 469, 171G read with 66-C IT Act.
Revanth Reddy has been asked to appear before the Intelligence Fusion & Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit with his phone on May 1.
Telangana CM Reddy’s phone was allegedly used to post Shah’s tailored video where he can be heard vowing to scrap all reservations after coming to power for the third time.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police has asked Satish to appear before the department’s Special Cell on May 1 for an investigation into a case registered on April 28.
The Congress leaders have been asked to provide information about the video tweeted/ re-tweeted by them on their X handle.
They have also been told to bring a mobile phone/ laptop/ tablet or any other electronic device used to create/ upload/ tweet the video.
