Partnership allows travellers to earn BluChips on duty-free purchases
IndiGo has partnered with Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) to allow passengers to earn loyalty rewards on duty-free purchases across airports managed by the Adani Group.
Under the strategic partnership, members of the IndiGo BluChip loyalty programme will earn five BluChips for every ₹100 spent on duty-free items that are pre-booked through the Adani platform.
Travellers can browse products online, reserve and pay for them before departure, and then collect their purchases conveniently at the airport.
Enhancing loyalty benefits for travellers
Neetan Chopra, Chief Digital and Information Officer at IndiGo, said the collaboration expands the benefits of the airline’s loyalty programme.
“At IndiGo, we are continuously striving to enhance the value proposition of our loyalty programme. This partnership with Adani Duty Free strengthens our commitment to offering meaningful rewards beyond flights,” Chopra said.
He added that combining IndiGo’s extensive flight network with Adani’s airport retail ecosystem will offer travellers greater convenience and value.
Digital travel and retail integration
Suchit Bansal, CEO – Non-Aero at Adani Airport Holdings Limited, said the partnership aims to transform airport retail through digital integration.
He said the initiative brings together India’s largest airline and the country’s largest private airport operator to provide a more connected and rewarding travel retail experience.
Passengers can log into a dedicated portal, link their BluChip membership ID, and receive reward points within 24–48 hours after completing their purchase.
Duty-free services across multiple airports
The duty-free programme is currently available at airports in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Jaipur, Mangaluru, and Lucknow.
The companies also plan to expand the programme to Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati and the newly operational Navi Mumbai International Airport.
IndiGo currently operates more than 2,000 daily flights connecting over 140 destinations worldwide, including over 95 domestic and more than 40 international routes.
Meanwhile, Adani Airport Holdings manages eight airports across India, handling hundreds of millions of passengers annually and strengthening its position as the country’s largest private airport infrastructure platform.
The partnership reflects a broader push by both companies to create a digitally integrated travel ecosystem, combining booking, travel, loyalty benefits and airport retail services.
