[dropcap color=”#008040″ boxed=”yes” boxed_radius=”8px” class=”” id=””]I[/dropcap]n a fresh bid to provide insights into its integrated cloud platform, the future of the enterprise and the new era of secure computing, the global software major Oracle has invited some of the industry’ top leaders and innovators for brainstorming under one roof in the US. The annual Oracle OpenWorld 2015 conference, being held in San Francisco from October 25 to 29, will bring together Oracle customers, its partners and prospective clients – offering more than 2,500 educational sessions, key innovations and IT exhibitions, the software company announced on Friday.

Among the top speakers are Larry Ellison, executive chairman and CTO, Oracle; Brian Krzanich, CEO, Intel; Mark Hurd, chief executive officer, Oracle; Abidali Z. Neemuchwala, group president, Wipro Limited; Dr Vishal Sikka, chief executive officer, Infosys; and other top industry visionaries.

“Oracle is shifting the complexity from IT, moving it out of the enterprise by engineering hardware and software to work together — in the cloud and at data centres,” Shailender Kumar, managing director (Oracle India), told IANS.

Today, Oracle has more cloud application, platform and infrastructure services than any other cloud provider.

Oracle has transformed the information technology marketplace with innumerable innovation – be it in engineered systems or cloud portfolio.

“No one has the breadth of solutions we offer in Software-As-A-Service (SaaS), Platform-As-A-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-As-A-Service (IaaS) to help leaders identify the right solution to their IT challenge. There will be a lot of new announcements in this space at OpenWorld 2015,” informed the Oracle India official.

The event will showcase applications, database, server and storage systems, industries, management, cloud and infrastructure solutions — all engineered for innovation.

India has been at the forefront for Oracle and its bouquet of innovations. With new initiatives like “Digital India” now in place, the thrust is likely to get bigger.

Oracle has 11 development centres in India, including facilities in many smart cities like Vijayawada, Thiruvananthapuram and Noida. It is home to Oracle’s second largest workforce of developers and engineers and accounts for its largest research and development investment outside the US.

Nearly 60,000 people from 145 countries attended OpenWorld conference last year. The conference will also be webcast.
