Soon after coming to power with a thumping win, the Yogi Adityanath government is seen into action. In a big crackdown on corruption, the Yogi-led government of Uttar Pradesh has suspended Sonbhadra District Magistrate T K Shibu on charges of corruption in mining and construction works and negligence during the UP elections.
Big action has been taken against T K Shibu, DM of Sonbhadra district of UP. This information was given in a letter issued by the Additional Chief Secretary. In this, it has also been mentioned the serious negligence of the District Election Officer. The investigation of the allegations has been handed over to the Commissioner of the Varanasi division.
According to an official spokesman, there were complaints of corruption against Shibu in mining, district trust committee and other construction works. An inquiry was set up against the DM. In the investigation conducted by Mirzapur Commissioner Vidhyachal Mandal, the DM was found prima facie guilty. After which this action has been taken against him. Apart from suspending the DM, orders for disciplinary action have also been issued against him. Also, they cannot leave the district without written permission.
