‘Was pushed, locked in Congress office room‘: Radhika Khera after resigning
A few days after Delhi, Indore Congress leaders left the party, now the grand old party gets another jolt as the Radhika Khera, National Media coordinator with the AICC Communications Department, quits the party.
Radhika Khera resigned from all posts as well as primary membership of the Congress party.
Tendering her resignation, Khera wrote a letter to party President Mallikarjun Kharge, in which she blamed the party’s abhorrence for those leaders attending the Ram Mandir’s Pran Pratistha ceremony and also shared her travails after doing the same.
“I served the party, right from NSUI days to now. I spent a total of 22 years serving the party with full devotion but for some days I have been subject to cruel treatment. Abuses were hurled at me and I was locked in a room. When I appealed to the senior leadership for justice, I was told to stay silent. My only fault was that I couldn’t restrain myself from visiting the Ram Temple,” she wrote.
In the viral video, Radhika was heard saying, “What has happened to me today has not happened in 40 years. I have been insulted. A video of him shouting at me was also shot. I was asked to get out. When I talk to him, he yells at me. I told you earlier also. I am also resigning from the party.”
She said that it was because of her love for Shri Ram that she was slighted at the party office in Chhattisgarh. “Hence, I was left with no choice than to resign from all posts and also primary membership of the party,” she said.
