Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday broke his silence over the nationwide outrage surrounding the alleged NEET paper leak, declaring that his government will establish fast-track courts to ensure swift justice and strict punishment for those responsible.
Addressing NDA MPs, the Prime Minister said the future of India’s youth cannot be compromised and stressed that those who tamper with the integrity of examinations must face the harshest consequences. He announced that fast-track courts would be set up to speed up the trial of paper leak cases and ensure that the guilty are punished without delay.
PM Modi said the Centre had acted promptly after reports of the paper leak surfaced. According to the government, those involved have already been arrested, and steps were taken to ensure that the re-examination was conducted smoothly so that students’ academic future was not adversely affected.
Calling the future of young students a matter of utmost priority, the Prime Minister said both the Centre and the states must work together to safeguard the credibility of India’s examination system. He asserted that no one would be allowed to play with the aspirations of the country’s youth.
The remarks come amid continuing protests over the NEET controversy, with opposition parties demanding accountability and action over the alleged paper leak. The issue has triggered widespread political debate and student demonstrations across the country.
