PM Modi to meet NITI Ayog economists to elicit their views on upcoming Union Budget
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to convene a meeting with prominent economists on Thursday to deliberate on the upcoming Union Budget 2024-25. This will be the first Budget of the Modi-led government in its third term at the Centre.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is slated to present the budget in Parliament on July 23, marking the commencement of the Budget Session from July 22 to August 12.
Economists, industry experts, and Niti Aayog Vice Chairman Suman Bery will discuss the fiscal situation and strategies, and also present views and recommendations to the Prime Minister at the meeting, according to sources.
Earlier, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held discussions with various stakeholders, including economists and captains of industry on the forthcoming Budget.
Last month during her address to a joint session of Parliament, President Droupadi Murmu indicated that the government would come out with historic steps to accelerate the pace of reforms.

Wonder if a perpetually dissenting economist, who had predicted fall of this government with the election of the speaker is included in the PMs group or will he be only on the wire with Thapar?? Modi must become all inclusive i.e. allow the theft of the public funds and do not hold to account for all the thefts committed in the past. TAHT IS UNLIKELY TO HAPPEN.
