Yamuna Harshavardhana

Yamuna Harshavardhana was born in Chennai. She graduated with a Chemical Engg degree. After a few years of working in the field, she switched to the field of education in which she had a natural flair since her younger years. She went on to study Learning Disorders Management and Child Psychology to cater to the needs of children with Learning Difficulties in the schools that she worked at. She has lived and taught Bengaluru, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore before moving back home to Chennai. In the meantime, she continued writing which had been her passion. In 2021, a collection of stories from Mahabharata titled ‘Once Upon a Time Thousands of Years Ago’ written by her catering to contemporary reading audience was published. She has done extensive reading in education and presented papers in academic conferences. The book, ‘Vidya: Re-rooting the Beautiful Tree’ which was authored by her has been published recently. Having got associated with Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal in 2019, she is now a karyakarta there.
