Disha Patani’s sister Khushboo Patani faces legal action for remarks on Shri Anniruddhacharya ji Maharaj
A criminal Complaint is filed against Major Khushboo Patani (Retd.) for making derogatory, blasphemous, and defamatory public remarks against Bhagwan Sri Krishna, Anniruddhacharya Maharaj, and his followers. Retired Major Khushboo Patani is the elder sister of Indian actress Disha Patani. After leaving the Indian Army, she is now a wellness coach, fitness trainer, and spiritual healer. She has gained attention for her controversial opinions.
The complaint is filed by lawyer Mahek Maheshwari at CyberPolice Station Saket (South Delhi) seeking immediate action and registration of an FIR for her blasphemous comments. “I found the video reels of Major Khushboo Patani commenting on Anniruddhacharya Maharaj and his followers, and later in the same month of August, I found another video of her circulating on platform X social media, making blasphemous comments on Bhagwan Shri Krishna. Thus, this complaint is filed to lodge a FIR against Major Khushboo Patani (Retd.), who is a self-claimed tarot card reader and holistic counsellor, and is famous because of being the elder sister of Actress Disha Patani and has 2 million followers over her social media handle, including but not limited to Instagram (id – Khushboo_patani) and YouTube.
“The complaint is presented against her acts of publishing and circulating highly objectionable, derogatory, and defamatory statements against Bhagwan Shri Krishna, revered spiritual figure Shri Anniruddhacharya ji Maharaj of Vrindavan, and countless followers of Sanatan Dharma (Hindu Dharma) via her social media accounts in a highly humiliating and disrespectful manner.
Shri Anirudha Acharya Maharaj is a revered spiritual personality who inspired millions of people to engage in devotional service, runs and operates Gauri Gopal Ashram in Vrindavan (Mathura), Uttar Pradesh, which takes care of old-age widows and destitute women, serves prasad daily to 30000+ persons, operates Gaushala sheltering many cows, etc.,” said the petitioner Adv. Mahek Maheshwari.
“To gain cheap publicity, bluffing the public through social media to believe her as a true Sanatani and pseudo feminism, she targeted Shri Annirudh Acharya and his Sanatani followers by publishing derogatory, hate-mongering, and blasphemous remarks. Despite being fully aware of Annirudha Maharaj’s complete statement, she quoted selected statements to target him and his followers and blasphemed them,” said the petitioner in his 18-page complaint detailing Major Khushboo Patani’s controversial comments, saying her comments are a misuse of freedom of speech.
