Arvind Kejriwal skips ED questioning, will attend MP rally instead
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will skip the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summons for questioning in connection with the alleged liquor policy scam, sources said, adding that he will be travelling to Madhya Pradesh for a roadshow.
Kejriwal will be leaving for Madhya Pradesh shortly.
The ED had summoned Kejriwal to appear before it on November 2 for questioning. Kejriwal will skip the ED questioning and participate in a roadshow along with his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann in Madhya Pradesh’s Singrauli.
Earlier in the day, he dubbed his summons as illegal and politically motivated. Responding to ED summons, Kejriwal said in a post on X in Hindi, “The summons are illegal and politically motivated.”
“Notice was sent to ensure that I am unable to go for election campaigning in four states. ED should withdraw the notice immediately,” Kejriwal alleged. He said that the notice was sent at the behest of the BJP.
This is the first time that the Chief Minister has been summoned by the ED concerning the alleged scam.
He was scheduled to visit Rajghat before appearing before the ED, and in view of the same the Delhi Police had also heightened the security at the ED office and Rajghat with the deployment of a large number of police personnel, including the paramilitary force.
Meanwhile, police have also beefed up security outside Kejriwal’s residence.
Meanwhile, the ED carried out searches at over 10 locations in Delhi, including the premises of Delhi Minister and AAP leader Raaj Kumar Anand.
ED sources said that the search operations started at around 7 a.m. Besides Anand, the sources also revealed that several other officers are also on the central probe agency’s scanner.

ED should revoke its summons for Kiljiwal is “Untouchable”
ED summons is unsustainable, illegal, vindictive, poisonous, politically motivated, against constitution, against free money & free speech, AAM ADMI Party can do not wrong, for it has certificate of ditching its own Guru (Anna Hazare), canvassing for party during elections is more important than ED Summons which can wait. Delhi region does not come under Bharat or India, it is Trishanku of its own. Who is ED to summon Killjiwal ? Death to democracy, death to all rights !! Porkistan is better than India / Bharat.
