Rajnath Singh warns Pakistan, says Operation Sindoor was just a glimpse of India’s power

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday hailed the success of Operation Sindoor, asserting that India’s defence prowess has reached a stage where “victory has become a habit.”

“Operation Sindoor has proven that victory is no longer a minor incident for us. Victory has become our habit,” Singh said while addressing an event in Lucknow.

The Defence Minister, along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, flagged off the first batch of BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles manufactured at the BrahMos Aerospace facility in Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow.

BrahMos Aerospace confirmed that it had successfully completed the production of the first batch of missiles from its new integration and testing unit in Lucknow.

‘Every Inch of Pakistani Territory Within Reach’

Praising the Indian armed forces for their precision and preparedness, Singh said the country’s adversaries can no longer evade India’s advanced missile capabilities.

“The country is confident that our adversaries will no longer be able to escape BrahMos. Every inch of Pakistani territory is now within the reach of our BrahMos,” he said.

In a pointed message to Pakistan, Singh said that the events of Operation Sindoor were only a glimpse of India’s growing military capabilities.

“What happened in Operation Sindoor was just a trailer. But that trailer itself made Pakistan realise that if India could give birth to Pakistan, then I need not say anything further about what else it could do,” he remarked.

BrahMos Signs ₹4,000-Crore Export Deals

The Defence Minister revealed that BrahMos Aerospace has signed contracts worth approximately ₹4,000 crore with two foreign countries in the past month.
“In the coming years, we will see experts from other countries flock to Lucknow, making it a hub for defence technology and innovation. The turnover of BrahMos’ Lucknow unit will be around ₹3,000 crore from the next financial year, and the GST contribution will touch ₹5,000 crore annually,” he said.

The state-of-the-art facility, inaugurated on May 11, 2025, is equipped with modern infrastructure for missile integration, testing, and quality assurance before deployment by the Indian Armed Forces.

Yogi Adityanath Hails ‘Self-Reliant India’ Push

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the new unit represents the foundation of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ in defence manufacturing.

“So far, we have provided over 2,500 acres of land across six nodes for this purpose, creating employment for over 15,000 youth in Uttar Pradesh,” he said.

He added that the state expects annual GST revenues of ₹150–200 crore once the facility scales up to produce 150 missiles per year.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, and senior defence officials were present at the event.
