Badaun murder case: Main accused Sajid was shot dead in a police encounter within two hours of the incident; second accused Javed still on the run
Badaun murder case: The entire nation is shocked over the murder of two minor boys Ayush (13), and Honey (6), by their Muslim neighbour Sajid by slitting their throats with razor. A third child also suffered severe injuries on the neck.
Sajid was accompanied by his brother Javed, who is on the run, and a search for him is underway.
The main accused Sajid was shot dead in a police encounter within two hours of the incident.
Uttar Pradesh police have taken the father and the uncle of the second accused in the Badaun murder case, Javed, even as he remains elusive.
The police have taken into custody Babu, father of slain Sajid and absconding Javed, along with Kayamuddin, uncle of the accused, said a police official.
Sajid and Javed are accused of brutally killing the two minor brothers on Tuesday night.
Sajid, a local barber hacked the two children to death at Baba Colony. Sajid owned a kiosk outside the house of the deceased. Sajid reached their house at 6 pm on Tuesday evening. He took the children inside the house on the pretext of feeding them something. After locking them inside a room, he slit the necks of all the children one by one using a razor.
The mother of the slain children told reporters on Wednesday, “It is Javed who can disclose the motive behind the murder of my minor sons. I still do not know why Sajid killed my sons. Maybe he did it at someone’s behest.”
