Raghuram walks with Rahul in ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’

On Wednesday former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan joined the Congress party’s Bharat Jodo Yatra led by MP Rahul Gandhi, in Rajasthan. Rajan could be seen walking alongside senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Sachin Pilot in the video shared on social media.

The yatra resumed this morning from Bhadoti of Sawai Madhopur.

Rahul Gandhi had a more than half-an-hour discussion with Rajan during the yatra. Raghuram Rajan was the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India during the second term of the UPA and the initial years of the Modi government.

The official handle of the Congress party tweeted, “Raghuram Rajan is walking step by step along with Rahul Gandhi. The increasing number of people standing up to unite the country against hatred shows that we will be successful.”

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said that on December 16, on the completion of 100 days of the yatra, Rahul Gandhi will go to Jaipur. All the passengers will participate in Sunidhi Chauhan‘s music event there.
