Pak-Khalistan-link confirmed; FIR filed, probe on
A massive terror plot was busted by the Haryana Police on Thursday as they arrested four suspected from Karnal. A huge cache of explosives, weapons, cartridges, and tiffin bombs were also recovered, and Rs.1,22,000 cash was also found in the Innova car which was seized.
The weapons were air-dropped using a drone by Khalistani terrorist Harjinder Singh Zinda from Pakistan in Ferozepur district,” an official was quoted saying.
Karnal SP on Thursday informed that there is a Pakistani link to the plot and Pak-based terrorist Harbinder Singh Rinda was leading the operation.
The terrorists had crossed Bastara toll in a white Toyota Innova SUV and reached Madhuban and were got caught by the Karnal police. According to the information, all the accused are in the age group of 20 to 22 years and all were going to Nanded.
SP Karnal said, “On credible intelligence input, 4 terror suspects including 3 belonging to Ferozepur and 1 from Ludhiana detained near Bastara toll plaza. Explosives were recovered from them along with other arms & ammunition. Accused are identified as Gurpreet, Amandeep Parminder, and Bhupinder.”
“The accused were in touch with a Pak-based man who asked them to drop arms & ammunition at Adilabad, Telangana. Accused Gurpreet received explosives sent from across the border using a drone in Ferozepur dist. Earlier, they dropped explosives at Nanded. FIR registered,” he added.
