Has Stalin govt ignored Tamil officers to promote North Indian officers?

Is it the Dravidian Model?

Seven senior IAS officers were superseded to accommodate Shiv Das Meena as Chief Secretary. There are negative feelings among the seven seniors.

Three of them are keen to leave Tamil Nadu Govt services and go on deputation to the Union Govt. These 7 IAS officers are:

  1. Hans Raj Verma
  2. Vikram Kapur
  3. Atulya Misra
  4. S Krishnan
  5. S K Prabakar
  6. Sandeep Saxena
  7. Nasimuddin (presently serving the Stalin govt)

Chief Minister M K Stalin has selected three North Indians for the top three posts in Tamil Nadu.

  1. Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena
  2. DGP Shankar Jiwal
  3. Commissioner Chennai Police Sandeep Rai Rathore

Many senior Tamil Nadu officers feel frustrated. Suffocated that they are not even given a chance to meet CM Stalin to present their case.

There have been ADMK loyal bureaucrats, but the divide was not that deep like the current north versus south tussle.

The junior officers in Tamil Nadu are currently unhappy with the recent developments and feel suffocated. Fewer Tamilians appear for UPSC, whereas only North Indians are successful in most of the competitive exams. They occupy the lower middle and higher positions in Govt of Tamil Nadu.

Ironically, M K Stalin brandishes himself and his party as Dravidian stock on social media.

Where and what is the personnel policy of the Stalin-led DMK govt.?
