Union Home Secretary chairs meeting on airport security
The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) held a high-level meeting to review airport security along with logistical and infrastructure issues.
Recently, on an Air India flight from New York to Delhi, a passenger urinated on his co-passenger in an inebriated state. Questions were raised on the airport authority and security due to the recent incident of misbehavior in airlines.
Necessary guidelines were given to the officers to deal with such incidents.
Director General of CISF, Sheel Vardhan Singh, among other officers of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) and Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) were present in the meeting chaired by Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla on Monday.
According to sources, the recent incidents of misbehavior in airlines were discussed during the meeting, which lasted for more than half an hour.

Time to give full authority to Flight staff that their word is final & anyone who disobeys will be penalized without further scrutiny. Indians are the worst to behave & disobey the flight staff commands when landing & not to open the cabin baggage locker – Indians do not wait at all and immediately open the lockers as soon as the flight hits the tarmac. Travel ban for 6 months or 1 year (domestic & international travel both simultaneous) is desired so that the fliers cannot rejoin their job duties wherever they are.
