D K Shivakumar, Siddaramaiah’s conversation on Sardar Patel photo caught on video

The hot-mic moment seems to be one of Congress’s favorite. The former CM of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah was caught with the mic on in a leaked video in which he can be heard asking for the Sardar Patel photo.

In an event organized to mark the death anniversary of Indira Gandhi, Siddaramaiah was heard asking D K Shivakumar about Sardar Patel’s photo.

D K Shivakumar was heard replying, “We never keep the picture on that day.” To which Siddaramaiah replied that the BJP may criticize the absence of the photo and take advantage of it.

He was heard instructing a worker to bring Sardar Patel’s photo.

BJP National Secretary, C T Ravi tweeted on the incident, “If anyone had a doubt how much the Nehru Dynasty hated Sardar Patel, this video clears it.

Congress leaders @siddaramaiah & @DKShivakumar agree to place photo of Sardar Patel along with that of Indira Gandhi fearing BJP.

It is a shame that slaves are so much scared of an Italian.”

Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar recalled the Congress’s criticism over “Statue of Unity”, “When the “Statue of Unity” was unveiled and dedicated to the nation they had criticized Sardar Patel then. Congress never recognized Patel or gave them Bharat Ratna while every member of their family was given Bharat Ratna.”

These incidents are serving a very important purpose for the people of India to realize what kind of establishment the Congress the party is and the kind of people and leaders are in the party, he added.

Earlier, two Congress leaders were heard criticizing Shivakumar about his involvement in corruption in a similar mic-on moment.
