Terror funding case: NIA raids multiple locations in MP’s Jabalpur
In Madhya Pradesh, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has conducted raids at more than 13 places in connection with a case pertaining to terror links and terror funding.
As per sources, 10 persons have been detained for links with the Islamic State (IS) terror group. “They have been detained in Jabalpur. They have links with the terror group IS. We are grilling them in this connection,” the sources said.
NIA teams started conducting raids on Saturday morning at the premises belonging to the accused in the matter.
The sources said that they have recovered a few incriminating documents during the raid in the case which pertains to the terror funding and radicalizing of youths against the country.
As of now, the NIA has not made any official statement on the matter.
In this case, six Bangladeshi nationals were arrested by NIA. They had entered India illegally, without any valid documents, and had acquired forged Indian identity documents with the help of their sympathizers in India.
Last week, the NIA raided premises belonging to an alleged Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) cadre.
Earlier in the week, NIA had raided multiple places in MP which had led to the seizure of several mobile phones, SIM cards, passbook, and identity documents related to the suspected terror transactions.
