Bhagwat confident in country’s future, warns against megalomania
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat asserted that he was never worried about the country’s future as many people were working collectively for its betterment which was bound to show results. Speaking at a village-level workers meeting in Jharkhand on Thursday, Mohan Bhagwat cautioned about megalomaniac nature.” He said: “People want to become superman, but they don’t stop there. Then they want to become ‘Devta’ (deity), and then ‘Bhagwan’ (God). But ‘Bhagwan’ says he is a ‘Vishwaroop’ (omnipresent). Nobody knows whether there is anything bigger than that.”
Congress said that RSS chief’s Bhagwan remark is aimed at Prime Minister Modi. Congress MP Jairam Ramesh on Thursday took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming a recent remark by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat was critical of the PM. While Bhagwat made no reference to PM Modi in his speech, Jairam Ramesh claimed that the RSS chief was taking a swipe at the Prime Minister over the latter’s “sent by God” remark.
“I am sure the self-anointed non-biological PM has got news of this latest Agni Missile, fired by Nagpur from Jharkhand and aimed at Lok Kalyan Marg,” said Jairam Ramesh in a post, retweeting a video of Bhagwat’s speech.

“There is no end of development. One should think that there is always scope for more. The workers should understand this. One should always strive for more,” the RSS chief said. Addressing a village-level worker’s meeting organized by Vikas Bharti, he said: “There is no doubt about the country’s future, good things should happen, all are working for it, and we are also making efforts.”
The RSS Chief said people of India have their own nature and many are working for the welfare of the country without desire for any name or fame. “We have different styles of worship as we have 33 crore Gods and Goddesses and more than 3,800 languages are spoken here and even the food habits are different. Despite the difference, our mind is one and cannot be found in other countries,” he said.
Bhagwat added that these days so called progressive people believe in giving back to society which was ingrained in Indian culture. “It is nowhere written in the scriptures but generation by generation it is there in our nature,” he said. He also urged the village workers to tirelessly work for the welfare of society.

Wonder if the village level workers understood the difference between Devata, Bhagwan and Vishwaroop or was it meant for a first year failed IITean ? If it is an Agni Missile fired form Nagpur it comes on the chest unlike the one fired from 10 Janpath which hits from behind, without the target even knowing it, that is the cultural difference. Till 2014 the future of the country was in doubt , which is not so any more what has changed? Ahha the reduced number of LS seats? Would it have been too much to expect that such discussions on devata, bhagwan etc. should have been held within four walls face to face, it at all they were aimed at a face.
