After the huge success of my book NDTV Frauds, with immense pleasure, I announce the hard copy of the Book The Rise and Fall of AAP. From today onwards The Rise and Fall of AAP will be available at several leading bookshops in India as well as in Amazon. Flipkart and Snapdeal will follow soon.
This book is an analysis of AAP’s meteoric rise and fall. Whether it will completely get decimated or rises back from the ashes like the Sphinx, only time will tell.
You can also order a copy of the book from the publisher, Rare Books. The 100-page book is priced at Rs.200 with a clear narrative of how a neta was constructed using the media, especially NDTV. This pioneer private TV channel while preaching ethics to all, was making Kejriwal a larger than life figure.

The advent of Social Media has resulted in greater transparency. Be it Politics or Corruption or Journalism, it is becoming increasingly difficult to hush up scandals. It has also resulted in the wide dissemination of Fake News but in time, this will subside. There are several signs that Social Media platforms are cracking down on Fake News, pulling down pages when they cross the line and so on.
Arvind Kejriwal’s dreams of being a Political leader perhaps started with him being invited by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar to be part of the Art of Living’s (AoL) The March Against Terrorism Against Corruption on March 1st, 2009.
In a conversation with me, Gurudev described how he had approached Kiran Bedi, then Arvind Kejriwal and subsequently Anna Hazare, as he had seen Anna’s successful movement against corruption in Maharashtra to raise the awareness of people against corruption.
He also recounted how Arvind Kejriwal slowly started hijacking the movement, especially after the IAC was formed and taking control of its financing and messaging. As the movement grew and attracted the common man, AoL slowly withdrew from the IAC. In his opinion, he said, with Kapil Mishra’s allegations, AAP is more or less finished.
This book is an analysis of AAP’s meteoric rise and fall. Whether it will completely get decimated or rises back from the ashes like the Phoenix, only time will tell.
