Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday spoke with Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman and Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah of Kuwait as tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate.

The outreach came a day after the Prime Minister held conversations with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Jordan amid the expanding conflict between Iran and the United States.

The crisis has spread across the region, leading to airspace closures, disruptions in commercial aviation, and growing concerns over oil supplies and energy infrastructure.

During his telephonic conversations with the Omani Sultan and the Kuwaiti Crown Prince, PM Modi expressed concern over recent attacks in Gulf countries and discussed the safety and security of the large Indian community residing in the region.

Sources said the leaders reviewed the evolving situation and underscored the importance of regional stability. India maintains close economic and strategic ties with Gulf nations, which host millions of Indian expatriates and serve as key energy suppliers.

With the situation remaining volatile, New Delhi is closely monitoring developments while engaging diplomatically with regional partners to safeguard Indian nationals and protect critical economic interests.
