PM Modi highlights AI-driven agriculture, organ donation awareness, digital safety, and cultural pride in monthly address
In the 131st episode of his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke extensively about India’s technological progress, social responsibility, and cultural resurgence, describing the recent AI Impact Summit 2026 as a defining moment for the country’s global image.
AI Impact Summit 2026: A global showcase
Opening his address, the Prime Minister shared insights from the AI Impact Summit 2026, where he interacted with global leaders and top technology CEOs. He said the summit exhibition showcased India’s advancements in artificial intelligence, particularly in sectors such as animal healthcare and agriculture.
According to PM Modi, AI tools are now enabling farmers to monitor dairy and livestock round the clock with 24×7 assistance, while also helping improve treatment and care for animals. He described the summit as a “turning point,” adding that the world was impressed by India’s innovation-driven approach.
Focus on world-class quality and innovation
Reiterating his call for excellence, PM Modi urged Indian manufacturers and start-ups to pursue zero-defect, world-class production standards. He said India must produce goods and services that are globally respected and competitive.
Highlighting emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence, space research, semiconductors, and green energy, the Prime Minister said India’s youth, innovators, and entrepreneurs have the potential to elevate the country’s global standing.
Emotional tribute to organ donors
In a moving segment, the Prime Minister remembered Aalin Sherin Abraham, a young girl from Kerala whose organs were donated after her passing. He praised her family’s decision, saying it gave new life to others and strengthened awareness around organ donation.
PM Modi noted that awareness regarding organ donation is steadily increasing across the country, while medical research is also gaining momentum. He said many individuals like Aalin continue to inspire society through their selfless contributions.
Cultural identity and Rajaji Festival
The Prime Minister also spoke about India shedding symbols of colonial legacy and embracing its cultural roots. Referring to the ‘Panch-Pran’ he had outlined during the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations at the Red Fort, he urged citizens to remain committed to freedom from the mentality of slavery.
He announced that the Rajaji Festival would be celebrated at Rashtrapati Bhavan on February 23, with an exhibition open to visitors from February 24 to March 1.
Call for digital vigilance
Addressing concerns over digital fraud, PM Modi stressed the importance of digital literacy and online security. While acknowledging that awareness has improved, he cautioned citizens to remain alert, especially regarding KYC (Know Your Customer) processes and online financial transactions.
Story of young farmer Hirod Patel
The Prime Minister shared the inspiring journey of Hirod Patel, a young farmer from Odisha. Once engaged in traditional paddy cultivation alongside his father, Shiv Shankar Patel, Hirod adopted a modern and innovative approach to farming over the past eight years, demonstrating how youth-led transformation can strengthen rural India.
Tribute to J Jayalalithaa
PM Modi also paid homage to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on her birth anniversary on February 24. He described her as a respected and beloved leader whose dedication to public welfare continues to resonate with the people of Tamil Nadu.
Recalling her presence at his oath-taking ceremonies in Gujarat, he praised her clarity of thought and decisive leadership, noting that her legacy remains deeply cherished.
Continuity from the 130th episode
The Prime Minister’s remarks echoed themes from the 130th episode of Mann Ki Baat, where he had similarly emphasised zero-defect manufacturing, global competitiveness, and the strategic importance of emerging technologies.
With technology, tradition, and social responsibility forming the core of his message, PM Modi’s 131st address reinforced India’s ambition to emerge as a global innovation hub while remaining rooted in its cultural values.
